Brewers GM Doug Melvin acknowledged Saturday that he has "exchanged proposals" with Norichika Aoki's agent. The Brewers were impressed with the ability Aoki displayed during a 75-minute workout last weekend. That doesn't necessarily mean they've made a lucrative offer, but there's clearly real interest in making a part of the 2012 roster. Aoki was a .329 lifetime hitter in Nippon Professional Baseball. Milwaukee put up a $2.5 million posting fee for exclusive negotiating rights.
