With the Orioles facing a right-handed arm in Jake Odorizzi for the final game of the series with the Rays, coach Buck Showalter will send Reimold to the bench for the first time in three games in favor of Hyun Soo Kim. Once Adam Jones (ribs) is cleared to rejoin the lineup, Reimold will likely settle into a fourth outfielder role, as Joey Rickard is expected to take over as the club's primary left fielder.

Hyun-soo Kim has underwhelmed this spring and there are rumors he may return to South Korea. Joey Rickard, a Rule 5 Draft choice is virtually guaranteed to make the team, but it had been assumed he would serve in a reserve role. The Orioles also continue to monitor the wires and may explore a trade, either of which could affect Reimold's role.

Reimold is expected to make the Opening Day roster and serve as an option off the bench, MASN Sports reports.

Reimold should back up the corner outfield positions. His performance this spring has been uninspiring, as he is 6-for-34 with two doubles. Reimold is out of options, so he would be exposed to waivers before he could accept a minor league assignment.
