Nick Markakis went 5-for-5 with a double, RBI and stolen base on Sunday, pacing the Orioles in their 5-4 win over the Braves. The five-hit day was the first of his career. After entering June with a .249 average, Markakis has hit .376 in 28 games, upping his season mark to .296. What was once a lost season is now an excellent one.

Nick Markakis went 2-for-4 with his 31st RBI in Baltimore's loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday. However, he was also one of three Orioles that failed to bring home a run after Baltimore loaded the bases with zero outs in the fifth inning. It proved to be the turning point in a game the Cardinals won 5-1. Regardless, the multi-hit night was Markakis' fourth straight, sixth in eight games and 11th of the month.

Nick Markakis had three hits, including a double, in extending his hitting streak to 13 games on Wednesday. Markakis has driven in just two runs in 11 games since his huge six-RBI game against the Rays on June 10, but his average has soared to .269. Hopefully more power will come soon.
