Miles Mikolas Takes a Loss on Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 8/29/18 7:47 PM

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas took a loss on Wednesday despite pitching decently. He lasted five innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk. He struck out five but lowered his record to 13-4. He was able to keep his ERA under three, at 2.96. He's been an excellent find for both the Cardinals and for fantasy owners who took a chance on him.

Miles Mikolas Wins His Fifth Straight Decision rotoballer.com Sat 8/18/18 9:11 PM

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas won his fifth straight decision on Saturday, tossing six innings while allowing just one run on five hits. He struck out seven and did not allow a walk. Mikolas improved his record to 13-3 and lowered his ERA to 2.85. He's been a strong mixed league option all season.

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman/outfielder Ryan Braun (ribs) is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He continues to deal with rib cage tightness, but the issue is believed to be day-to-day. Keon Broxton will play right field and bat sixth versus righty Miles Mikolas. Broxton can be avoided in fantasy leagues and DFS contests.

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas pitched well again on Tuesday, tossing seven innings while allowing just two runs on five hits. He only recorded one strikeout but did not allow a single walk. Mikolas was pitching to contact, and his defense had his back. He got the win, his 12th, and lowered his ERA to 2.74.
