Trout went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
After striking out in his first trip to the plate -- his first whiff through 14 at-bats this spring -- Trout responded by launching a three-run homer in his next at-bat to put the Angels up 3-2. Unsurprisingly, the superstar outfielder is off to a solid start to spring, slashing .357/.471/.857 with six RBI and a 1:3 K:BB through six Cactus League games.

Manager Brad Ausmus said he is anticipating Trout to hit second in the Angels' lineup next year, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout spent a majority of this past season split between the second and third spots in the order, though Ausmus appears to have a plan in place to place him in the two-hole heading into spring training. The bottom line is that there's not much of a difference between these spots for a player of Trout's caliber, but he may wind up scoring a few more runs and having less RBI chances if this intention holds true.

Trout is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Trout gets Sunday off for the second week in a row as Michael Hermasillo grabs the start in center field for the Angels. Trout is slashing .345/.462/.690 with eight home runs since coming off the disabled list in late August and should return to the lineup Monday against the Rangers.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
For a brief moment it looked like Trout might once again play hero for the Angels, as his eighth-inning shot gave the team a 4-1 lead, but the Los Angeles bullpen completely fell apart in the bottom half of the inning. He's now gone yard in three straight games and five of his last six, and with 38 homers on the year, Trout's now just three back of tying his career high of 41 from 2015 with seven games remaining on the schedule.

Trout went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Trout got the scoring start with a solo shot in the fourth inning -- his 35th long ball of the season. The two-time AL MVP is now 24-of-26 in stolen base attempts this season and is slashing an absurd .404/.533/.723 since the start of September heading into the final stretch of another terrific campaign.

Trout is not in the lineup Sunday against Seattle, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout gets his second day off in the month of September. He's hit .369/.506/.631 in 20 games since returning from a wrist injury, though that barely counts as a hot streak in a season in which he's hit .318/.466/.625 overall. Michael Hermosillo will get the start in center field.

Trout (calf) will start in center field and bat third against the White Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Trout will return to action after missing Wednesday's game due to a right calf he sustained during Tuesday's contest. Since coming off the DL (wrist) on Aug. 24, he's gone 9-for-35 (.257 average) with two extra-base hits and three RBI.

Trout's absence from the starting lineup Wednesday was due to a tight calf sustained in Tuesday's contest, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout was hit in the calf by a pitch in his first at-bat Tuesday, but there were no reports of an injury after the outfielder stayed in the game. Manager Mike Scioscia confirmed that his star outfielder's absence Wednesday was due calf tightness stemming from the incident. The Halos' skipper added that Thursday's off day could allow Trout to return to the lineup Friday against the White Sox, so serious injury appears to have been averted.

Trout is out of the lineup versus the Rangers on Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher added that Trout was hit by a pitch during Tuesday's game, and though he remained in the contest, that could have something to do with his absence from Wednesday's starting nine. In his place, Eric Young will man center field and bat ninth in the order. Since coming off the DL on Aug. 24, Trout has hit .257/.426/.400 with just two extra-base hits in 11 games.

Trout went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and a trio of runs scored in Monday's win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Trout hasn't skipped a beat since returning from the disabled last Friday, going 6-for-14 with a triple and a homer in four games. The 31-year-old is slashing .313/.462/.620 with 31 homers and 21 steals through 113 games this season.
