Angels interim manager Phil Nevin said after Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Astros that Trout (back) is expected to avoid a stint on the injured list, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Trout was evaluated by Angels head trainer Mike Frostad following his departure prior to the fifth inning Tuesday, Nevin said the star outfielder was diagnosed with upper-back spasms and is being viewed as day-to-day. Though initial tests didn't reveal any concerning injury, Trout could still be at risk of missing the remaining two games of the series with Houston. Brandon Marsh moved from left field to play center following Trout's early exit Tuesday.

Trout was removed from Tuesday's game against the Astros due to upper-back spasms.
EDGE Analysis
Trout uncharacteristically struck out in both his plate appearances before being replaced in the field for the top of the fifth inning. It's unclear when the injury first surfaced, as even before Tuesday's contest the 30-year-old had struggled through nine games in July with a .508 OPS and 43.2 percent strikeout rate. Trout will continue to be evaluated and should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Trout went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer, a stolen base and a strikeout during Friday's 5-4 loss to the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Trout put the Angels on the board Friday with his three-run blast, which was his 24th homer of the season. The 30-year-old hit just .045 with an RBI, a walk and 13 strikeouts in the six games leading up to Friday's matchup, so it was encouraging to see him post a multi-hit performance in the narrow loss. On Friday, Trout was named a starter in the outfield for the 2022 All-Star Game, marking the seventh time he's been selected as a starter.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 11-4 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Trout hit the second of the Angels' three homers in the third inning. The star outfielder has turned the power up in June with 10 of his 23 homers this season coming his last 23 contests. Overall, he's batting .285 with a 1.042 OPS, 46 RBI, 52 runs scored, 16 doubles and two triples through 283 plate appearances.

Trout went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an RBI triple, two total runs scored and an intentional walk in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Trout teed off on Chris Flexen, as even a first-inning flyout was hard hit. The star outfielder added a moonshot in the fourth inning and an RBI triple in the sixth before getting Scott Servais to call for an intentional walk in the eighth. Trout has six homers in as many games versus the Mariners this season and 53 long balls versus Seattle in his career, so clearly this is a favorite matchup for him. The 30-year-old is slashing .289/.391/.662 with 22 homers, 45 RBI, 51 runs scored, two triples and 15 doubles across 266 plate appearances.

Trout isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout is getting a day off after he hit .250 with five homers, nine RBI, seven runs, four walks and 13 strikeouts over the last seven games. Juan Lagares will take his place in center field and bat eighth.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Trout finished the five-game series this weekend with five homers, including blasts that accounted for the game-winning run in each of the last three contests. The power surge has him up to 21 long balls in 61 games. He's added a .290/.389/.659 slash line with 43 RBI, 47 runs scored, 15 doubles and a triple across 252 plate appearances. He'll look to keep things going this week back in Anaheim, as the Angels are set to welcome the Royals for three games early in the week before another series with the Mariners over next weekend.

Trout went 3-for-9 with two home runs and three RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Trout's tormenting of the Mariners continued, as he hit a two-run shot in the 10th inning in the matinee which stood for the win. He opened the scoring with a solo shot in the third inning of the nightcap, and the Angels held on for a 3-0 win in that contest. With four homers in his last four games, all against the Mariners, Trout has vaulted into second place in the majors with 20 long balls on the year, trailing only Yankees slugger Aaron Judge. Trout owns a spectacular .291/.391/.653 slash line with 41 RBI, 46 runs scored and 15 doubles through 60 contests overall.

Trout went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four RBI and a walk in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Trout hit two-run shots in the third and seventh innings to knock in all of the Angels' offense. This is his second two-homer game in five contests since he returned from a groin injury that cost him a handful of games earlier in June. The outfielder has been sharp at the plate this year with a .294/.396/.647 slash line, 18 long balls, 38 RBI, 44 runs scored and 15 doubles across 57 contests.

Trout left Saturday's game against the Mets after six innings but did not appear to be injured, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The early exit is a potential worry, as Trout was appearing in his first game after a three-game absence due to groin tightness. It's likely that the Angels simply saw no need to push him further in his first game back, as the team held an 8-0 lead. Trout certainly didn't look injured during his time on the field, going 3-for-4 with a pair of homers, a double, three RBI and three runs scored.
