The 30-year-old will sit for the second straight, with LaMonte Wade being Wednesday's replacement in left field. Having gone 2-for-19 with no RBI in his last nine games, Tauchman could certainly benefit from a little time off.

Tauchman went 1-for-4 with a grand slam Tuesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Tauchman flipped the outcome of the game with one swing of the bat in the eighth inning, ripping his third home run of the season to put the Giants up for good. It was his first homer since May 15, though his playing time should be steadier given the current injury to Mike Yastrzemski (thumb). Even so, Tauchman has done little with his opportunities to this point in the season by hitting just .190/.310/.298 across 143 plate appearances.

Tauchman will remain out of the lineup with lefty Julio Urias on the mound for the Dodgers. He was able to make a big impact off the bench Friday, robbing a potential Albert Pujols home run to send the game to extra innings, where the Giants would eventually emerge victorious.

Tauchman struck out in his first at-bat but reached in all three of his other plate appearances while scoring twice. The 30-year-old is slashing .211/.333/.329 with two home runs, eight RBI, 14 runs scored and a 14:25 BB:K over his first 22 games with the Giants. He's going to keep splitting time in the outfield with Steven Duggar and Austin Slater if his hitting struggles continue.
