Moustakas (wrist) remains sidelined Friday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas hasn't played since taking a grounder off his wrist Monday. His absence Friday comes as little surprise, as manager Craig Counsell indicated Thursday that he was likely still a few days away from returning to action. Hernan Perez starts at the hot corner in his absence.

Manager Craig Counsell said he expects Moustakas (wrist) to play this weekend in Chicago, though he noted the infielder may not be ready for Friday's series opener, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas has missed the past two games with a sore left wrist, but it sounds like he'll be ready to rejoin the lineup over the weekend after getting another day -- the Brewers are off Thursday -- or two to recover. The soon-to-be 31-year-old is slashing .284/.348/.531 with five home runs in 21 games this month.

Moustakas (wrist) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers will let Moustakas rest up through Thursday's off day while he tends to a sore left wrist, which he sustained after he was struck by a grounder in Monday's series opener with St. Louis. With Moustakas on the bench for a second straight day, Cory Spangenberg will draw another start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

Moustakas (wrist) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas' X-rays came back negative after he took a grounder off his wrist Monday night, but as expected, he'll be held out of the second game of the series. Cory Spangenberg starts at the hot corner and is batting seventh.

X-rays on Moustakas' left wrist came back negative, though he's unlikely to play Tuesday against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas took a grounder off his wrist in the field during Monday night's matchup, though he appears to have avoided a significant injury. Even so, the Brewers are expected to hold him out of Tuesday's matchup as a precaution.

Moustakas left Monday night's game against the Cardinals after being struck by a line drive on the left wrist, Sophia Minnaert of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Robert Murray of The Athletic, Moustakas left the matchup with "left palm and wrist pain," and he's likely headed for X-rays. More information on his status should emerge after the game.

Moustakas went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run and walked in his other three plate appearances Wednesday in the Brewers' 5-3 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
His 31st long ball of the season staked the Brewers to a 4-0 lead after one inning, which proved to be all the support starter Adrian Houser and the relief crew would need in the rain-shortened victory. Moustakas has busted out of his second-half slide in a major way over his last four starts, going 7-for-16 with four home runs, a double, four walks and 11 RBI.

Moustakas is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Cardinals.

He will get his first day off since July 28. Moustakas is hitting .273/.309/.494 with four home runs in 18 games over that stretch. Hernan Perez will start at third base and hit seventh.

Moustakas went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, a walk and five RBI in Sunday's 16-8 loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Heading into the weekend series in Washington, Moustakas had been in the midst of one of his worst stretches of the season, as he had recorded just five hits in 34 at-bats over his prior eight contests. It's safe to say that he's now busted out of the slump after compiling seven hits -- four for extra bases -- and eight RBI in the three-game set. Now up to 30 home runs on the campaign, Moustakas has a legitimate shot at surpassing the career-high 38 he posted with the Royals in 2017.

Moustakas went 1-for-5 with a double in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
After opening August with four consecutive two-hit outings, Moustakas has fallen into a 4-for-30 tailspin at the plate in the Brewers' subsequent seven contests. He'll remain in the lineup as the Brewers' No. 5 hitter in the series finale Wednesday and has built up enough goodwill at this point to be in no danger of surrendering his everyday role. Manager Craig Counsell may look to give Moustakas an off day soon if the slump continues for much longer, however.
