Dunn chipped in a scoreless seventh inning, allowing one hit with one strikeout, to help the Marlins past the Cardinals on Monday. The lefty reliever has been solid since a minor blip back on July 22, allowing just one earned run in seven appearances since that date. His 17 holds on the year leads all Marlins relievers and ranks eighth among National League pitchers. For the year, Dunn has a 3.86 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 48:16 K:BB in 42 innings pitched.

Marlins avoided arbitration with LHP Mike Dunn by agreeing to a one-year, $1.4 million contract. It was Dunn's first year of arbitration eligibility. The southpaw earned a raise after putting up a 2.66 ERA across 75 appearances this past season.
