The Padres reassigned Brosseau to minor-league camp Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau is expected to serve as organizational infield depth at Triple-A El Paso during the 2025 season. The 30-year-old previously saw big-league action in five straight seasons with the Rays and Brewers from 2019 through 2023, but he spent the entire 2024 campaign at the Triple-A level. Between stops with the Royals' and Mets' top affiliates, Brosseau slashed .263/.356/.417 with 15 home runs in 102 games.

EDGE Analysis

The Mets signed Brosseau to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Michael Mayer of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau was released by the Royals last week after hitting only .107/.212/.143 across 33 plate appearances at Triple-A Omaha. The 30-year-old has a career .790 OPS against left-handed pitching at the major-league level, although that number dropped to just .571 in 2023. Brosseau will give the Mets experienced infield depth.

The Royals released Brosseau on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau signed a minor-league deal with Kansas City in December, but he's slashed just .107/.212/.143 across 33 plate appearances at Triple-A Omaha. He will now presumably seek another minor-league deal from a different organization, and his career .741 OPS in the majors should help the 30-year-old secure a contract relatively easily.

EDGE Analysis
Brosseau made the Brewers' Opening Day roster this past season, but he batted just .205/.256/.397 across 29 games before being cut loose. He then spent a bit of time overseas with the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball. The 29-year-old returns stateside as organizational infield depth for Kansas City.

Milwaukee optioned Brosseau to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau had been on the roster primarily to hit lefties, but he had managed just a .571 OPS versus southpaws for the season. He'll now head to the minors to make room for Luis Urias (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Brosseau went 1-for-1 with a solo homer in Sunday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau pinch hit for Jesse Winker in the seventh with lefty Amir Garrett on the mound and took him deep to left to put the Brewers up 9-4. It was his first home run and his first RBI since April 24, as he continues to see limited at-bats. The 29-year-old is slashing .236/.288/.491 with four homers, eight RBI, four runs and a 4:13 BB:K over 59 plate appearances.

Brosseau is not in the lineup Tuesday night at Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Brosseau might get dinged the most in terms of playing time with the return of Tyrone Taylor (elbow), as Brian Anderson will likely now cover third base most days with Taylor taking over in right field. That is the setup for the Brewers on Tuesday night against the Rockies.
