Saunders went 3-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's 17-1 rout of the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
After striking out five times in a rough 0-for-7 performance during Friday's 19-inning marathon, Saunders roared back with six hits including three doubles and three RBI as the Jays took the final two games of the weekend series. He's now hitting an impressive .294/.370/.552 on the season and as long as he can stay off the DL, he'll remain a key cog in Toronto's extremely dangerous offense.

Saunders, who was 0-for-7 with five strikeouts in Friday's 19-inning loss, bounced back with a 3-for-4 performance in Saturday's 9-6 victory over the Indians that included a two-RBI double and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder had endured one of the most forgettable performances of his career in Friday's marathon defeat, so the resurgence at the plate Saturday was certainly a welcome sight. His clutch two-bagger that plated Devon Travis and Josh Donaldson came in the eighth inning and provided a pair of crucial insurance runs that padded Toronto's lead to 9-6. The multi-hit effort was only the second in the last 13 games for Saunders, whose season line sits at .288/.365/.544.

Saunders is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays are going with a righty-heavy lineup Wednesday against southpaw Tyler Anderson, so Junior Lake will get a rare start in right field with Ezequiel Carrera sliding over to left field. Saunders should be back in the mix Thursday at home against righty Carlos Carrasco.

The most palpable reason for Saunders' current breakout season is his improved plate coverage, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Entering the season, 41 of his 51 career home runs had come on pitches located middle-in. Now he's starting to hit outside pitches with authority, too. So far, 51 percent of the pitches the outfielder has seen have been on the outside third of the plate. Saunders has done a phenomenal job adjusting to this location, collecting half of his extra-base hits on outside pitches. His opposite-field stroke has been among the best in baseball. Saunders' opposite-field average is .439 (23rd in MLB) and his slugging percentage going the other way is .805 (6th in MLB). Nearing the midpoint of the season, veteran is slashing .305/.381/.586.

Saunders went 3-for-5 with three homers and eight RBI in Friday's 13-3 victory over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old slugger enjoyed a game for the ages, setting career highs in both homers and RBI. Saunders fell short of tying the major league record of four homers when he grounded into a double play with the bases loaded in the eighth against reliever T.J. McFarland. Two of Saunders' round-trippers came off starter Mike Wright, and impressively went to the opposite field. He's now 18-for-33 with five homers and 12 RBI against Orioles pitching this season, and is just four short of the career-best 19 he hit with the Mariners in 2012.

Saunders (hamstring) is in the lineup Thursday against the Phillies, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saunders left Tuesday's game with tightness in his hamstring and was not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest, though he did pinch hit in that game. He is back in left field and will bat fourth for the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Saunders (hamstring) may be able to return to the lineup Thursday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saunders was lifted early from Tuesday's game with hamstring tightness and is out of Wednesday's lineup with the issue, but it sounds as though it's more of a minor setback than anything overly concerning. Ezequiel Carrera is drawing the start in left field Wednesday and figures to continuing filling in if Saunders is unable to go Thursday.

Saunders (hamstring) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saunders was removed in the third inning of Tuesday's tilt after experiencing tightness in his hamstring and the issue will hold him out again Wednesday. It's unclear how long he'll be out for, but Ezequiel Carrera will fill in at left field Wednesday and bat lead off.

Saunders was lifted early from Tuesday's contest with tightness in his hamstring, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saunders had gone 0-for-1 with a walk before being pinch-hit for in the third inning, but per the report, the move was simply a precaution. More information on the severity of the ailment may become available upon the completion of Tuesday's game, but Saunders' availability for Wednesday's tilt remains unclear at this point.

Saunders went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He's now got nine hits over his last four games, pushing his batting average in June to .405 (15-for-37) with a .757 SLG. Saunders' .311/.386/.569 line on the season is probably unsustainable, but it's also been a while since he had a run of good health to show what he could really do. With the entire Blue Jays offense heating up around him, expect him to keep producing very useful fantasy numbers.
