Brantley is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. Brantley is 3-for-6 over his career against Orioles starter Bud Norris, but manager Terry Francona decided his star outfielder could benefit from a rest after starting all but one of the Indians' previous 13 games. David Murphy will check in as the left fielder with Brantley on the bench.

Brantley is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals. Brantley has not had a day off in a while and went just 3-for-17 over his last four games, so manager Terry Francona decided to hold him out Wednesday with left-hander Jason Vargas on the mound for the Royals. Ryan Raburn will get the start in left field in Brantley's place.

Brantley is out of the lineup Saturday. Brantley is slashing .319/.397/.511 and is one of the game's best outfielders in both fantasy and reality, so this is just a rare day for him to get some rest. David Murphy will get the start in left field and is hitting third Saturday.

Brantley filled up the scoresheet against Texas on Friday, going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, two runs scored and two RBI while adding his sixth stolen base. He's been on fire this month, and now has his average up to .349 with 20 RBI. As a five category threat, his fantasy value has carried over to this season after an amazing 2014 campaign.

Brantley was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a losing effort against the Twins on Friday night. He has hit well pretty much all season - now sporting a .337 average - but he suffered through a power drought with no April home runs. That said, since the calendar flipped over to May, he has popped three long ones and appears primed to post another big year following up on his monster 2014.

Brantley went 1-for-4 Saturday with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases. He's hitting .432 (16-for-37) over his last nine games, driving his slash line on the season up to .338/.384/.485. It seems safe to say that Brantley's back is feeling just fine at the moment.

Brantley doubled twice and added an RBI single in four at-bats Thursday against Toronto. He's been a nearly unstoppable hitting machine lately, having gone 15-for-35 (.429) over the last nine games. However, after delivering a 20-20 campaign last season, Brantley's still looking for his first homer of 2015, and he's only got one steal to his credit so far.

Brantley (back) went 2-for-5 in Friday's loss to Minnesota. He had missed six of Cleveland's first eight games due to a back issue, including Wednesday's game. It looks like a day off has him able to play, but he may continue to serve as the DH as he did Friday.

Brantley (back) will serve as the designated hitter and bat third Friday against the Twins, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. After missing six of the team's first eight games to start the year due to a back issue, Brantley will slot back in to face right-hander Mike Pelfrey in the opener against Minnesota. Brantley is 1-for-10 with a walk in his career against Pelfrey. It's uncertain when he may be cleared to return to the field, but Brantley appears safe to deploy in all formats this weekend.
