Guaipe agreed to a minor league deal with the White Sox, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old spent the last two years with Seattle, struggling to the tune of a 5.29 ERA in 34 relief innings during that time. He will offer organizational bullpen depth for the White Sox next season.

Guaipe was released by the Mariners on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Guaipe spent a couple weeks with the Mariners this year, but has mostly been on the mound for Triple-A Tacoma, racking up a 2.84 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP over the course of 12.2 innings in the minors. The 25-year-old struggled during his five appearances with Seattle, and will hit the open market to see if he can latch on with another organization.

Guaipe was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Joaquin Benoit returning from the disabled list Tuesday, the Mariners' bullpen was at capacity, making Guaipe a logical candidate to be sent back down to the minors. Guaipe appeared in five games with the Mariners during his most recent stint, working a 4.91 ERA with five strikeouts and four walks across 7.1 innings. If the Mariners suffer another injury in the bullpen, Guaipe would certainly be a candidate to be called back up to the big leagues.

Guaipe pitched 1.2 scoreless innings against the Angels on Saturday, just his second scoreless outing in five appearances since his callup.
EDGE Analysis
Guiape has been pretty mediocre in his short time with the Mariners, striking out five and walking four in 7.1 innings. He'll likely go back to Triple-A when Tony Zynch returns from the disabled list in a few weeks.

Guaipe has been recalled by the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
He'll replace Joaquin Benoit (shoulder inflammation) on the 25-man roster in the short term, after posting a 2.16 ERA and 0.74 WHIP over 8.1 innings with Tacoma to begin the season.

Guaipe was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After acquiring Nick Vincent in a trade with the Padres, the Mariners were expected to send Guaipe to the minors, but this seals the deal. He pitched well this spring, posting a 2.45 ERA and 0.73 WHIP in 11 innings pitched, but there simply wasn't room for the right-hander in the Seattle bullpen. He could get a callup to the big leagues if he continues to have success in the minor leagues, though.

Guaipe will open the year at Triple-A, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has not been officially optioned, but the acquisition of Nick Vincent to fill the seventh spot in the bullpen has assured that Guaipe, along with Blake Parker and Donn Roach will open the year at Triple-A.

Guaipe was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guaipe had a poor stint with the Mariners earlier in the season, but he'll now return to the club after continued success (2.87 ERA, 1.26 WHIP with 36 strikeouts in 47 innings) at Triple-A Tacoma. Given the expanded rosters on tap come Monday, it wouldn't be surprising if the 25-year-old remains with the team the remainder of the season in a middle relief role.
