Kepler had delivered a lowly .548 OPS over his first 26 games since the All-Star break before he broke out of his prolonged funk Saturday with a solo home run and a pair of walks. The 28-year-old then closed the weekend with another solid box-score line, rewarding the faith of fantasy managers that stuck with him amid his prolonged offensive drought. The .855 OPS that Kepler turned in during the 2019 campaign is beginning to look like the outlier for his career; his OPS has hovered between .730 and .760 in each of his other five full seasons in the majors.

EDGE Analysis
Kepler greeted Tampa Bay starter Michael Wacha with a leadoff home run on Saturday night. Even with the dinger, the German-born right fielder is having a tough time in August, hitting just .179 with three RBI.

Kepler got the Twins on the board with a solo shot to right field off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. The 28-year-old later notched a base hit in the eighth and swiped his eighth bag of the year. Kepler was hitless over his last five games entering Tuesday but was able to notch his fifth multi-hit effort this month and also recorded his first steal since June 21. He's had a pretty disappointing year overall, slashing .212/.300/.442 with 11 homers, 36 RBI, 32 runs scored, eight steals and a 26:55 BB:K over 247 plate appearances.
