Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (personal) has been scratched from his scheduled start on Tuesday. Boyd is dealing with a personal matter, so he'll miss this game. The Tigers have not announced a replacement starter for this game. The team may decided to go with a bullpen game. Boyd has a 4.54 ERA with 228 strikeouts in 30 starts with the Tigers this season. He's been one of the few bright spots for the organization during this rebuild year.

Most teams are still angling to win and actively participating, and between injuries and finally cutting the cord on early-season disappointments, it can be difficult to find reinforcements.
