Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd continued to struggle on Thursday as he was touched up by the Rangers to the tune of seven runs (six earned) in just four innings of work. Boyd scattered seven hits and allowed two homers in the matchup before turning things over to the bullpen. With the loss, Boyd falls to 4-7 on the year, and owns a 7.13 ERA over his last seven games after starting the year with a 3.18 ERA through May.

The Detroit Tigers have watched their losing streak reach 10 games after falling to Toronto on Friday. Starting pitcher Matthew Boyd will look to right the ship as he takes the hill Saturday.
