Wieters is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters produced one of the more modest stat lines in the Nationals' 24-5 triumph Tuesday, finishing 1-for-4 with two walks, two runs and an RBI. The backstop, who is hitting just .152 since returning from the disabled list July 9, will receive a breather for the day game after the night game, affording Spencer Kieboom a turn behind the dish.

Wieters is not starting Tuesday's game against Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters hasn't done the job for the Nationals at the plate this season, hitting just .202/.299/.319 in 31 games. The Nationals may look to the trade market to replace him in the lineup as they look to stay alive in the playoff race. Spencer Kieboom will get the start Tuesday.

Wieters (hamstring) was activated from the disabled list Monday, source reports. He'll get the start behind the plate and bat eighth against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters will end up having been out just shy of two months, having last played May 10. The activation was perhaps a bit faster than expected, as Wieters only began his rehab assignment Saturday. Pedro Severino was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.

Wieters (hamstring) is scheduled to start his rehab assignment with seven innings at Double-A Harrisburg on Saturday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters was running the bases Thursday and he is apparently feeling no ill effects and is ready for the minor-league rehab assignment. The 32-year-old indicated last week he hopes to return to the Nationals before the All-Star break, and while that is certainly still possible, a return just after the mid-season festivities seems more likely.

Wieters (hamstring) ran the bases Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weiters has been on the shelf since mid-May after having hamstring surgery, but he continues to make progress. Although he was unable to run at 100 percent, it's still good news for the Nationals that he was able to do at least some running to test out the hamstring. His status moving forward will likely be dependent upon how he feels following Thursday's workout.

Wieters (hamstring) is aiming on a return from the disabled list prior to the All-Star break, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters has been on the shelf since undergoing hamstring surgery in the middle of May. Though it seems overly optimistic that he will be back within the next two weeks, Wieters was able to compete in a simulated game against minor-league pitching. Everything went well during that outing and he reiterated that taking cuts and handling catching duties isn't a problem; the biggest hurdle remaining is getting his running up to par. If he's able to make strides with that aspect of his rehab over the next week, there may be an opportunity for Wieters to return during Washington's final road trip before the All-Star Game.

Wieters (hamstring) is scheduled to participate in a simulated game against minor league pitching Monday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wieters will join teammates Matt Adams (finger) and Ryan Zimmerman (oblique) in this endeavor, representing a meaningful step in his rehab. The catcher was able to resume running for the first time since mid-May surgery approximately 10 days ago, and swinging a bat in a live setting displays measurable progress. Don't expect Wieters back until a week or two after the All-Star break, but he could soon embark upon a rehab assignment if all goes well Monday.
