Matt Wieters was 3-for-4 with a solo homer in the Orioles' 4-2 setback to the Rangers. Interestingly, Wieters had been hovering between .257 and .262 for the previous 11 games. The 25-year-old has rebounded nicely from a disappointing 2010 season, as he is now hitting .269 with eight homers and 34 RBI. Now in his third major league season, there is still plenty of upside for this once highly touted catcher.
