Manning (4-4) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks over 5.1 innings in a 6-2 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out only one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander wasn't dominant, managing only seven swinging strikes among his 90 pitches, but Manning produced plenty of weak contact as he won his first game in over a month. He also kept the ball in the park, a big improvement after he'd served up six homers over his last three starts. Since the All-Star break, he carries a 5.46 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB through 29.2 innings, and he'll look to claw back that ERA further in his next outing, likely to come next weekend in Cleveland.

Manning (3-4) took the loss against the Rays on Sunday, allowing eight runs (six earned) on nine hits and a walk while striking out three in 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Manning's struggles carried over into Sunday's start. He allowed five runs through the first two innings and later gave up his second home run of the day in the fourth. The 25-year-old was miraculously one out away from completing six frames but was yanked after allowing consecutive base hits. Manning has put together a very forgettable three-game stretch during which he's allowed 19 runs (17 earned) on 23 hits, including six home runs over his last 16.2 innings. The Tigers don't really have any better options at this point, so Manning figures to stick around. He's tentatively lined up to face the Red Sox on the road in his next start.

Manning (3-3) allowed four runs on eight hits across six innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Pirates. He had no walks and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
A two-run home run by Liover Peguero in the second inning accounted for half of the damage, which has been the story lately for Manning, who's allowed four home runs over his last two starts. He's given up 11 runs across 11 innings in those two starts, pushing his season ERA up to 4.53. Manning will look to limit the long ball and get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively set for Monday against the Twins.

Manning (3-2) took the loss against the Angels in the second game of a doubleheader Thursday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
This was arguably the worst outing of Manning's campaign, as both the seven runs and seven hits were season-high marks. The right-hander was particularly vulnerable to the long ball Thursday, as the final four runs against him came by way of three Angels homers. Prior to this contest, Manning hadn't surrendered a home run over 25 innings in five starts since coming off the injured list June 27, so there probably isn't cause for concern in regard to a problem keeping the ball in the park, especially since two of the three blasts against him Thursday were hit by MLB homer leader Shohei Ohtani. Manning will look to bounce back in his next start, which is tentatively lined up to come at home versus the Rays next week.

Manning did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one hit and two walks over two scoreless innings in a 14-3 loss to the Padres. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After tossing two scoreless innings, Manning was forced back to the dugout due to a rain delay and did not return despite throwing only 32 pitches. The start marked his first outing going fewer than five innings but continued a stretch of strong play. Over his last three starts (14.1 innings), Manning has allowed just one earned run and five total hits to lower his season ERA to 3.19. He's tentatively scheduled to take on the Marlins in Miami for his next start.

Manning tossed 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Kansas City on Monday, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and no walks while striking out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Manning made history as part of a combined Tigers no-hitter his last time out, and he continued that success into Monday's outing. The right-hander gave up two unearned runs in the fourth inning -- largely as a result of his own throwing error -- but otherwise kept KC off the scoreboard while falling one out shy of a quality start. Manning has gone at least five frames in each of his six starts this season and has put up an appealing 3.12 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. However, his 23:10 K:BB over 34.2 innings suggests some regression may lay ahead.

Manning (3-1) earned the win Saturday, striking out five while issuing three walks over 6.2 scoreless innings against the Blue Jays. He did not allow any hits.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the start that Manning was looking for, as the right-hander hit Bo Bichette with a pitch to open the game before issuing a walk to Brandon Belt in the following at-bat. However, the 25-year-old managed to get out of the inning unscathed and went on to retire 18 of the next 19 batters he faced while not allowing a hit. The Tigers' bullpen would take over with two outs in the seventh to complete the no-hitter over Toronto, marking Detroit's first combined no-hitter in team history. Manning recorded a season-high five strikeouts on the afternoon, and it was his first start this season in which he didn't allow at least two runs.

Manning (2-1) allowed four runs on five hits and struck out four without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
After walking four in his return from a fractured foot his last time out, Manning displayed better control Sunday. However, the Rockies were able to get the ball in the air well, with three of the four runs against Manning coming on sacrifice flies, though it certainly could have been worse. The right-hander now has a 4.84 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB over 22.1 innings through four starts this season. He's lined up to make his next start at home versus the Blue Jays.

Manning (foot) allowed two runs on three hits across 5.2 innings and did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rangers. He walked four and struck out four,
EDGE Analysis
Manning pitched pretty well in his return to the mound and left with a chance to earn the win, but Detroit's bullpen allowed six earned runs in an eventual 8-3 loss. The righty had been out since April due to a fractured right foot. He displayed some rust with the season-high four walks, though it was an otherwise promising outing. Manning gives the Tigers a boost with so many starters out due to injuries, and he's slated to take the mound again over the weekend at Coors Field against the Rockies.

Detroit activated Manning (foot) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday versus the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Manning is finally ready to return to the Tigers' rotation after missing more than 10 weeks because of a fracture in his right foot. He struggled to command the ball on his three-start minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo and makes for a risky fantasy streamer against the dangerous Texas lineup.
