Garza was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Garza was already slated to miss his next scheduled start Thursday, but this is the final nail in the coffin. His injury doesn't seem like anything that will keep him out for an extended period of time, although his upcoming bullpen sessions will likely determine his availability to pitch the next time his turn comes around on June 14. Travis Shaw was activated from the paternity list to fill the newly vacant roster spot, although Paolo Espino seems to be in line to start in Garza's place Thursday.

Garza (chest) was unable to complete Tuesday's bullpen session and will not start Thursday's contest against the Giants, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garza left his previous start early after colliding with first baseman Jesus Aguilar, and it seems that the veteran right-hander is still feeling tight several days after the incident. It's unclear if they just plan to skip one start or if a DL stint is being considered, but more information should come forth as he works out more prior to the following scheduled start on June 14. Thursday's starter is also up in the air at this time, although Paolo Espino was a healthy scratch from his start at Triple-A earlier in the week, signaling that he could come up to make a spot start.

Garza (chest) had his bullpen session moved back but is reportedly feeling much better, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garza was supposed to be re-evaluated Sunday, but it seems like a Thursday start is still in the realm of possibility despite the fact that the results of his exam are not known. The right-hander is expected to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, after his which his status for Thursday's start should become known.

Garza (chest) will be re-evaluated Sunday after colliding with Jesus Aguilar during Saturday's game, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old said he felt like he had been "hit by a truck" and expects to be very sore following the incident, which forced him to leave his start after just four innings. His next scheduled outing is Thursday against the Giants, though Wily Peralta may be called upon for a spot start if Garza's chest contusion continues to persist. The righty has a 3.83 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP through eight starts this season.

Garza was diagnosed with a chest contusion Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A collision with Jesus Aguilar forced Garza from his outing after just four innings Saturday, forcing the Brewers to go to the bullpen early. It's unclear how this will affect Garza's availability for his next turn in the rotation, but if he's unable to start, Wily Peralta could slot back in as a spot starter.

Garza exited Saturday's start with an undisclosed injury, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander collided with first baseman Jesus Aguilar in the fourth inning of Saturday's contest and was subsequently replaced on the hill by Oliver Drake. Garza finishes the day with two runs (one earned) with four walks and two strikeouts across four innings. The Brewers figure to have an update on Garza's injury later Saturday.

Garza (2-2) allowed four runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out four over 5.2 innings in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
That's now back-to-back rough outings for the veteran right-hander, and he's surrendered 10 runs in his last 11 innings. Garza doesn't have the velocity he once did to blow hitters away and sports an uninspiring 6.9 K/9, making him an unattractive streaming option based on matchups in deeper leagues. He's already allowed six home runs in 40.2 innings, too, and is more vulnerable in his hitter-friendly home environment.

Garza (2-1) allowed six runs on seven hits while striking out five batters over 5.1 innings during Wednesday's loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing just eight earned runs through 29.2 innings (2.43 ERA) over his first five starts of the year, the bottom finally fell out for Garza. The 33-year-old veteran posted a 5.18 ERA through over 250.1 innings the past two seasons with the Brewers, so it wasn't surprising to see him morph back into his prior form. He might still be worth a look against favorable opponents, but Garza pitches in a hitter-friendly park and sports an uninspiring 6.9 K/9 for the campaign. He lines up for a road start against the Mets in his next trip to the hill.

Garza pitched six strong innings Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk in a no-decision versus the Padres. He also struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for the veteran right-hander, the Brewers were unable to take the lead until the ninth inning, keeping Garza out of the win column despite another solid effort. With only one run allowed, he lowered his ERA to 2.43 on the season, and although he threw 58 of his 91 pitches for strikes, he managed to get outs when he needed to and neglected to let a run cross the plate until his final inning of work. Garza will look to keep the good times rolling in his next start Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Garza (2-0) gave up two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings in Friday's 7-4 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a few years since Garza had much fantasy value but the 33-year-old has turned back the clock to begin his 2017 season, reeling off three straight quality starts with a 2.75 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB over 19.2 innings during that stretch. Garza's in a good spot to make it four straight when he next takes the mound Wednesday in San Diego.
