Garza (2-1) allowed six runs on seven hits while striking out five batters over 5.1 innings during Wednesday's loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing just eight earned runs through 29.2 innings (2.43 ERA) over his first five starts of the year, the bottom finally fell out for Garza. The 33-year-old veteran posted a 5.18 ERA through over 250.1 innings the past two seasons with the Brewers, so it wasn't surprising to see him morph back into his prior form. He might still be worth a look against favorable opponents, but Garza pitches in a hitter-friendly park and sports an uninspiring 6.9 K/9 for the campaign. He lines up for a road start against the Mets in his next trip to the hill.
