Duffy (achilles) will go through a rehab stint after the All-Star Break before returning to the club, freelance writer Andrew Baggarly reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy is eligible to return to the Giants as soon as the All-Star Break ends, but will need more time to rehab his injury. He has been out since mid-June but has been progressing right on pace, as he was able to take groundballs out of his walking boot Sunday. Duffy was also out running Wednesday and could possibly begin his rehab assignment during the major-league break.

Duffy (Achilles) is out of his walking boot and now able to take ground balls, freelance writer Andrew Baggarly reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy is not expected back until after the All-Star break, but it sounds like the third baseman is on the right track with his recovery. Chances are the 25-year-old will need a brief rehab assignment before returning to the Giants. Until then, Ruben Tejada and Conor Gillaspie will split reps at third base in San Francisco.

Duffy (achilles) will not return until after the All-Star break in mid-July, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy left Sunday's game with an achilles injury that will leave him out until July 15 at the earliest. He is currently in a walking boot and it will take him around three weeks plus a rehab assignment before he is back on the field with the Giants. Duffy is hitting .253 with four home runs and 21 RBI during his 70 games with the club this season.

Duffy has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with an Achilles injury, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy has had minor Achilles problems in the past that have only forced him out of a few games, but this one is bad enough that he'll need at least two weeks before he can make it back. For now, it's unclear if he'll need to spend any more than the minimum time on the disabled list before he returns. Duffy underwent an MRI on Monday, and we'll update if the results reveal any more information. The Giants have not announced a corresponding roster move, although shortstop prospect Christian Arroyo, currently hitting .285/.330/.397 for Double-A Richmond, is a possibility.

Duffy (Achilles) had an MRI on Monday, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy isn't expected to be available for Monday's game against the Pirates in any capacity. However, based off past experience with soreness in his Achilles heel, it isn't believed that Duffy will miss more than a few games and simply needs the time to rest. Ramiro Pena will likely get the nod and start at third base during Duffy's absence.

Duffy (achilles) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Duffy's first game off this season as he looks to rest his achilles. The 25-year-old is hitting .253/.313/.358 with four home runs, 21 RBI and eight stolen bases and should be considered day-to-day for now while Ramiro Pena starts at third base.

Duffy exited Sunday's game with an Achilles injury and is considered day-to-day, Henry Schulman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy reportedly dealt with the issue in spring training as well, and it isn't expected to hold him out more than a couple days. Conor Gillaspie seems the likely candidate to start at third base in his absence.

Duffy left Sunday's game in the seventh inning for an undisclosed reason, Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy must have tweaked something while on the basepaths, as he did not re-enter the game after recording a single in the top of the seventh inning. Consider the infielder day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Pittsburgh.

Duffy went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 10-1 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
This was Duffy's second three-hit game over his past three contests. He has also reached base safely in all but two of his appearances in June. It is safe to say that his bat has finally woken up after a slow start to the season. It is also important to note that he is batting fifth in the lineup with sluggers Hunter Pence (hamstring) and Brandon Belt (ankle) sidelined. Duffy's .251 batting average should continue to rise as his .270 BABIP inches closer to his career mark which resides in the low-to-mid 300s.

Duffy went 1-for-4 with a solo-homer in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy batted third - as he usually does against southpaws - and homered off of Clayton Kershaw in the first inning of Friday's contest. The homer was his first since April 6 and could be a sign that he is finally starting to heat up. As previously mentioned, his walk and strikeout rates have both improved over his stellar rookie campaign, but his .237 batting average is being suppressed by a .260 BABIP. He is a decent buy-low candidate in deeper leagues, and a guy to monitor in standard leagues where he may be available on waivers.
