Chapman went 2-for-5 with a go-ahead two-run home run in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman erased a 2-1 deficit and set the Athletics up for a key victory by slugging a 436-foot shot to center in the ninth inning with Marcus Semien aboard. The power-hitting third baseman has parlayed just 11 hits in September into 14 RBI, with his five homers during the month playing a pivotal part. Chapman's month could be even bigger were it not for his significant troubles making consistent contact otherwise, as he's struck out on 30 occasions and has only gone without a strikeout in three of 21 games this month.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman has accomplished the rather improbable feat of hitting a miserable .123 (8-for-65) in September and yet driving in an impressive 12 runs during that span. That anomaly is naturally the byproduct of some very timely hitting, keeping Chapman a viable contributor at times down the stretch despite considerable issues with consistent contact (28 strikeouts during current month).

Chapman went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
He can't seem to do much else except hit homers lately, but Chapman does have 10 RBI in September on just six hits courtesy of that power display. The slugging third baseman is otherwise hitting an anemic .133 since the calendar flipped, although fantasy managers are undoubtedly benefiting from the five times he's left the yard over the last 18 contests.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics found themselves behind 3-0 after the second inning, but Chapman took Rangers starter Mike Minor deep in the third to even the score. It was the first of four homers for the A's in the contest. The third baseman is up to 33 homers, 84 RBI and 95 runs scored while slashing .251/.345/.514 in 144 games this season.

Chapman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman started the last 13 contests and went 7-for-45 with 23 strikeouts, and he'll receive a game off to reset Friday. Sheldon Neuse receives the start at the hot corner for the A's in his place.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk and two runs in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman was one of the few Athletics that failed to garner at least one extra-base hit in the 21-run barrage, but his multi-hit effort helped snap the 2-for-26 skid he'd opened September with. The slugging third baseman surged during the last three weeks of August with a .307 average over the final 19 games of the month, but his lackluster effort since the calendar flipped has led to a seven-point drop in batting average.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 10-2 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman took Tigers reliever Zac Reininger deep in the eighth inning to score the final run of the game. For the year, the hard-hitting third baseman has 32 homers, 80 RBI and 91 runs scored over 511 at-bats.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in the Athletics' 7-5 win over the Angels on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman provided the crucial blow in the contest, cranking a three-run blast off Jaime Barria in the third inning for his 31st of the season. The 26-year-old's .258 average isn't spectacular, but he's more than made up for it with his career high in long balls, as well as 35 doubles and three triples to leave him with an excellent .528 slugging percentage through 496 at-bats.

Chapman went 2-for-5 with an RBI double, a walk and a run in an extra-innings loss to the Yankees on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman's seventh-inning two-bagger with Robbie Grossman aboard snapped a 2-2 tie. Chapman showed a bit more life at the plate during August after a significant downturn in July, and with another seven round trippers during the month, he's reached the 30-homer threshold for the first time in his career.

Chapman (head) went 1-for-4 with a walk in a win over the Yankees on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman returned as a starter after coming in as a defensive replacement in Thursday's series opener. The third baseman remained free of concussion symptoms after getting hit in the helmet with a pitch Wednesday against the Royals, and his ability to put in a full game in the field Friday further corroborates his health.
