Chapman went 3-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Rays on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman had the only multi-hit effort of the afternoon for the Athletics in the losing cause. The slugging third baseman hadn't tallied more than one hit in any game since April 29, and he's in a bit of a long-ball slump at the moment with two home runs over the 85 plate appearances covering his last 22 games.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman's lone hit of the game was a fourth-inning solo homer that tied the game 2-2. The long ball was his fifth this season and first in the month of May. Chapman is off to a slow start this season with a .204/.313/.407 slash line, though he does have five home runs and 14 RBI.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and one run scored Thursday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman was out of the starting lineup for the second game of the team's series against the Rays, but he has gone 4-for-8 in two contests since. His performance Thursday was highlighted by a solo home run in the fourth inning -- his fourth of the season. Overall, Chapman is hitting .184/.298/.391 with 13 RBI and nine runs scored across 104 plate appearances.

Chapman is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a rough recent stretch for Chapman, who is 1-for-23 with 11 strikeouts over his last eight games. The one silver lining is that he has a 25 percent walk rate over that stretch. Vimael Machin will start at third base and hit eighth.

Chapman went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run in a win over the Rays on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging third baseman played some small ball effectively in the victory and came home on Sean Murphy's fourth-inning home run. While the pair of walks at least does something for Chapman's on-base percentage, he's still mired in an eight-game slump during which he's hit .043 (1-for-23) with an RBI, eight bases on balls and two runs. While Chapman has three home runs on the season, the most recent came April 16, nine games ago.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Friday's 3-0 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman's solo shot in the eighth inning extended Oakland's lead to 3-0. The 27-year-old slugger is slashing .189/.254/.415 with three home runs and nine RBI in 59 plate appearances.

Chapman went 1-for-5 with a two-run double in a win over the Tigers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging third baseman also struck out on three occasions, so while the clutch two-bagger was certainly a highlight, Chapman is still clearly getting his timing down after an injury-shortened 2020. The 27-year-old is slashing just .184/.255/.367 across his first 55 plate appearances, although five of his eight RBI have come within the last three games.

Chapman went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman's highlight of the night came in the fifth, when he took Madison Bumgarner yard on a first-pitch hanging curveball. He drove in his second run of the night on a base hit in the ninth as the A's put the game out of reach. Despite this solid performance, Chapman has not been seeing the ball very well so far, as he owns a slash line of just .179/.267/.333 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored. Monday was the first time all season that he didn't strike out, and he owns a 5:15 BB:K in 45 plate appearances.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Chapman got to Dodgers starter Trevor Bauer with a 426-foot solo shot to center field in the seventh inning and helped send the game into extra innings when he singled and scored in the ninth. It was easily the best game of the year for the star third baseman, who entered the contest batting a paltry .105 with no extra-base hits.

Chapman, who went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday, is hitting just .133 (2-for-15) over his first five games.
EDGE Analysis
The slick-fielding third baseman does have hits in back-to-back games, but that pair of singles serve as the only times that he's knocked the ball out of the infield, though he's also walked four times. Chapman similarly struggled during Cactus League play -- he hit just .179 with 12 strikeouts across 53 plate appearances -- but he at least laced five of his seven hits for extra bases (two doubles, three home runs).
