Carpenter is not in the lineup Monday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter has just two hits over his last five games, so he'll head to the bench for a breather. Luke Voit will make his first MLB start at first base in his place.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Saturday's loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter snapped a three-game hit drought with the bomb and now has five home runs, 13 RBI, 15 runs and a .953 OPS through 22 June games. The veteran is struggling to improve on his underwhelming .236 batting average, but his 14 homers, 40 RBI and 29 runs are solid fantasy marks.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a run-scoring double, three walks and a run in Tuesday's 8-1 extra-inning win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The surging leadoff man was a thorn in the side of the Phillies throughout the game, drawing multiple walks for the third straight contest and upping his OPS for June to an impressive 1.068. Carpenter's .313 average for the month is over 100 points better than the pedestrian .204 figure he mustered last month, and the 31-year-old is also now just one RBI short of equaling his total for all of May.

Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 11-2 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter has his average up to .250 following Friday's effort, which also extended his hitting streak to 10 games. The veteran infielder is sporting an impressive 26.1 percent line-drive rate and 47.8 percent hard-contact rate over his first 15 games of June, which has already led to 11 extra-base hits (seven doubles, four homers), three more than he compiled in all of May.

Carpenter 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter extended his hitting streak to nine games with his sixth and seventh doubles of June. He's now roped at least one two-bagger in six straight contests as well and is slashing .315/.383/.611 in his first 59 plate appearances of the month.

Carpenter went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder has his OPS up to .944 in June following Wednesday's production, as he now has four multi-hit outings over his last seven games, as well as an eight-game hitting streak during which he's compiled nine RBI. The impressive start to the month has brought his season average up 18 points to .239 and he's now leading the team in home runs (12), RBI (36) and OBP (.360).

Carpenter went a combined 4-for-8 with a double, a homer, a walk, three RBI and three runs in Tuesday's doubleheader against Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
He's still hitting only .233, but Carpenter managed to extend his hitting streak from five to seven games in one day -- a stretch in which he's gone 11-for-28 (.393) with three homers and eight RBI. Before this run, he was lingering at a .209 batting average, so even this modest improvement is quite welcome. Carpenter's seemingly made a conscious decision to sacrifice contact for power over the past couple seasons, and this year hasn't been any different, except that the results have been worse. Much of that is attributable to a career-low .253 BABIP, though; his career mark is .324, which implies a lot of room for improvement in his batting average.

Carpenter went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's loss to Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter snapped a 14-game homer drought Wednesday, so it was encouraging to see him hit another bomb Thursday. He sports a disappointing .216/.345/.426 slash line for the year but has been able to buoy his fantasy value with serviceable counting stats: 11 home runs, 30 RBI and 27 runs. Considering he posted a .285/.377/.464 line over the previous five years, Carpenter is ripe for a hot stretch.

Carpenter is batting leadoff Wednesday against the Reds, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the first time that Carpenter will sit atop the order in 2017 after spending lots of time there in years prior. It's unclear if this is a short-term fix with Dexter Fowler getting a night off or if manager Mike Matheny is pulling the plug on Fowler as the team's leadoff hitter, but nonetheless, Carpenter should be in line for more run-scoring opportunities if he can get on base in front of Tommy Pham and Stephen Piscotty.

Carpenter is out of Saturday's lineup against the Cubs, Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is hitting just .165/.273/.306 with three home runs and 23 strikeouts over his last 23 games. Jose Martinez draws the start at first base and will hit cleanup against southpaw Jon Lester.
