Manager Mike Shildt said on KMOQ Sports Radio that Carpenter is out of the lineup Sunday due to a stomach issue.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter is sitting out his fourth straight contest, but it's unclear if he's been experiencing the stomach problems during that entire stretch. Yairo Munoz is manning the hot corner in Sunday's series finale.

Carpenter is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter is on the bench for the fourth straight contest despite no other indications that he's dealing with an injury. The veteran infielder is batting .208/.303/.364 with two home runs in June. Yairo Munoz is starting at third base Sunday for the Cardinals.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Padres, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
No injury has been reported for Carpenter, yet he finds himself on the bench for the third straight game. The 33-year-old has struggled in June with a .208/.303/.364 slash line in 22 games. Tommy Edman will once again bat leadoff and start at third base in his absence.

Carpenter is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
No injury has been reported with Carpenter, but he will be held out for a second straight game despite a team off day Thursday, so there is at least some reason for concern about his status. Timmy Edman will man the hot corner and hit leadoff in Carpenter's place.

Carpenter is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter has started the past 13 games for the Cardinals, slashing .196/.311/.373 with one home run and three stolen bases during that stretch. Tommy Edman is starting at third base and hitting leadoff in his stead.

Carpenter went 1-for-5 with a two-run triple and a run in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter erased an early 1-0 deficit for the Cardinals by lacing his second three-bagger of the season with Yadier Molina and Kolten Wong aboard in the second inning. While that extended Carpenter's modest on-base streak to four games, the veteran has actually regressed at the plate during June, following a lackluster May during which he hit .237. Factoring in Tuesday's line, Carpenter is hitting just .213 during the current month and has logged another 23 strikeouts, pushing his career-high whiff rate to 24.7 percent.

Carpenter went 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs in a win over the Angels on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder's .218 average still leaves plenty to be desired, but his penchant for drawing free passes has consistently kept him on the basepaths nonetheless. Carpenter has a solid 14.2 percent walk rate and .332 on-base percentage for the season, but a career-high 24.5 percent strikeout rate is one of the main conspirators in his mediocre season at the plate.

Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and three runs overall in a win over the Marlins on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Monday's line was the type Carpenter made the norm beginning just before this point of the season in 2018, which helped the veteran third baseman erase an abysmal start and eventually slug a career-high 36 home runs. Carpenter has been similarly scuffling at the plate for the majority of the current campaign, but there's cautious optimism he could once again be building some summertime momentum. Carpenter has lifted his average 28 points since May 15, and his current .227 figure, middling as it may be, qualifies as his highest since April 14.

Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and three runs scored in Monday's 5-0 win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter terrorized Marlins pitchers all night, though his most impressive feat was probably earning a double by bunting down the third-base line while Miami was heavily shifting him. The 33-year-old infielder is up to 10 homers with a .735 OPS this season. He's on pace for his fifth consecutive 20-homer campaign.

Carpenter went 1-for-2 with a double, a run-scoring sacrifice fly, two walks and a stolen base in a win over the Mets on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Carpenter turned in a prototypical leadoff effort and recorded only his second extra-base hit of June in the process. The veteran is now well into a third month of subpar hitting to open the season, with his average sitting at a middling .222. Carpenter's .336 on-base percentage is certainly more respectable in comparison, but it still falls well below his career .374 figure in that category.
