Indians signed RHP Masa Kobayashi to a minor league contract. Kobayashi originally signed with the Indians in 2007 as an international free agent but was released after posting a 5.10 ERA in his first two seasons. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 and spent the last two years in Japan. The deal is expected to include an invite to spring training.
