Gonzalez (toe) remains out of the lineup Thursday against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
A late scratch Wednesday due to soreness in his right big toe, Gonzalez will remain out for the final game of the road trip. It's uncertain if he will be available for the start of the Twins' weekend series against the Rangers. Gonzalez has hit .289 since the start of May, but he still has just 29 runs and 26 RBI for the season. That puts him on pace for a measly 105 runs-plus-RBI.

Gonzalez (hamstring) was activated from the injured list prior to Saturday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins' lineup has not been released yet, so it's unclear if Gonzalez will slot into the lineup on his first day back. Luis Arraez was not sent down in a corresponding move, so Gonzalez will have some competition for the super-utility role he had been occupying.

Gonzalez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
After starting each of the last 10 games at six different positions, the utility man will get a well-deserved breather. Gonzalez's lack of a direct path to a full-time job at any spot doesn't look like it will cost him regular at-bats, especially while he continues to perform well at the plate. Over 32 games dating back to May 1, Gonzalez has posted an .877 OPS.

Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a solo homer in the Twins' 6-2 win over the Rays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Serving as the first baseman, Gonzalez doubled in the third inning to provide the Twins with a lead that they never relinquished, and he later added his sixth home run in the fifth off Yonny Chirinos. The 30-year-old was just 5-for-30 coming into this contest but is getting regular at-bats playing all over the diamond. He's slashing .244/.317/.383 in 180 at-bats this year.

Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and two runs scored in a victory over the Angels on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out two straight games, Gonzalez hit a two-run homer off reliever Justin Anderson to tie the game in the sixth and later plated another run with a ground rule double in the seventh. Since an 0-for-2 outing against the Yankees on May 6 lowered his season average to .200, Gonzalez has accumulated an 11-game hitting streak in which he has gone 17-for-45 (.378) with three home runs and eight RBI to raise his overall season slash line to .255/.329/.393.
