Lowe is now 1-3 with a 7.79 ERA after giving up a two run walk-off home run in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
May was not kind to Lowe, as he gave up 12 runs (all earned) and five home runs in just 8.2 innings. Coming off a fantastic season where he had a 1.96 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, his tremendous struggles are unsettling, especially to the Tigers, who only have one reliever with an ERA below 3.20 among pitchers with more than 10 innings to their name, that being Buck Farmer. Lowe's fastball velocity is also troublesome. At 92.2 miles per hour, it's 3.3 miles per hour slower than it'd been in 2015.

Lowe was lit up for five runs on three hits and a walk over 0.2 innings in Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Lowe entered with the game tied 2-2, but was tagged with the loss after serving up a grand slam to Bobby Wilson and then giving up a solo shot to Delino DeShields. The poor outing torpedoed Lowe's ERA for the season, but he still looks to be one of the Tigers' most trusted setup men in front of closer Francisco Rodriguez.

Lowe has five holds in seven appearances (6.1 innings) this season.
EDGE Analysis
Lowe's WHIP is a tidy 1.11 and he's held opposing batters to a .261 batting average. He also has five strikeouts. Lowe is not currently in line to vulture any saves, but he's clearly a key contributor in those formats where holds are rewarded.

Justin Wilson and Lowe will be called up on to hold games through the seventh and eighth innings.
EDGE Analysis
Lowe should deliver you plenty of holds this season while supporting a starting group led by Jordan Zimmerman and Justin Verlander. He'll hand the ball to Francisco Rodriguez to close things out and may even get some saves when K-Rod needs some rest. Target him as a high-upside reliever.

Lowe agreed to a two-year contract with the Tigers on Monday, The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lowe will head to Detroit after splitting last season with the Mariners and Blue Jays. He posted a 1.96 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 61:12 K:BB ratio last season in 55 total innings, so he figures to be one of the Tigers' top relievers. However, he has just six career saves to his name and tallied just one last year, so expect him to work in a setup role in front of new closer Francisco Rodriguez.

Lowe took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, surrendering two hits and three runs (two earned) in 0.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Lowe gave up a three-run homer to Greg Bird that broke a 3-3 tie, only the third round-tripper the reliever has surrendered in 53.1 innings this season. The runs were the first yielded by the veteran since an Aug. 26 outing against the Royals. Despite the forgettable outcome on Tuesday, Lowe has pitched impressively in relief for the Blue Jays this season, posting a 1.86 ERA, securing 15 holds, and posting an impressive 28.2 strikeout rate.

Lowe snagged the win, pitching 0.1 innings in Tuesday's extra-inning victory over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
After Brett Cecil made things interesting in the 10th inning, Lowe needed just two pitches to get Jerry Sands to ground out to move the game to the bottom of the 10th. While Lowe hasn't been nearly the same pitcher in Toronto as he was in Seattle, he still holds a 1.80 ERA on the season and is trusted in higher leverage situations.

The Seattle Mariners agreed to a deal on Friday that will send pitcher Mark Lowe to the Toronto Blue Jays, according to FOX Sports. Lowe has a 1.00 ERA with 47 strikeouts in 36 innings this season and will bolster the back end of the team's bullpen.

Lowe pitched a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to lower his ERA to 0.64. He struck out two. Since being recalled in early May, Lowe has allowed just two earned runs in 28 appearances (22 IP) with 37 strikeouts and nine unintentional walks. Lowe has been the Mariners' most effective reliever in the first half, pitching in a variety of roles. He could see save chances as the Mariners continue to mix and match in the late innings.

Lowe was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports. The Mariners cleared a spot on their 40-man roster for Lowe by placing Julio Morban (personal reasons) on the restricted list. Lowe has fanned 11 batters over nine innings of work at Triple-A Tacoma this season.
