Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Rangers are expected to make Scott Feldman and Mark Lowe available at the trade deadline. Feldman is currently filling in at the back-end of the rotation, but he won't be needed once Roy Oswalt is ready later this month. Lowe holds a 2.66 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with a strikeout per inning this season, but Heyman notes that he could easily be replaced by hard-throwing righty Tanner Scheppers, who has dominated this year at Triple-A Round Rock. The Rangers would be looking for a right-handed hitting outfielder in return.

The Rangers and RHP Mark Lowe avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.7 million contract. The deal also includes performance-based incentives. Lowe registered a 3.80 ERA in 45 innings last year for the Rangers and will serve as a middle reliever in 2012.

Mark Lowe (hamstring) threw off a mound Sunday. Lowe was left off the Rangers' ALDS roster and is not available for the ALCS due to his ongoing recovery from a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. If Texas advances to the World Series, he could return.

Mark Lowe (hamstring) did some light running Thursday. Lowe has been sidelined since the end of September with a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. He's hoping to get back to full health in time for the ALCS, but the odds are still against that actually happening. The right-hander posted a 3.80 ERA and 42/19 K/BB ratio in 45 regular-season innings.

Mark Lowe is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. Lowe received a blood platelet injection to speed his recovery, but he will almost certainly miss the ALDS. The 28-year-old right-hander has a 3.80 ERA and 42/19 K/BB ratio over 45 innings this season.

Mark Lowe was diagnosed Thursday evening with a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. Lowe probably won't be recovered until the second round of the playoffs, thus his season may be over. The right-hander has posted a 3.80 ERA in 45 innings of relief.

Mark Lowe injured his left hamstring before Wednesday's game against the Athletics. The full extent of the injury isn't yet known, but he was sent back to Dallas to be examined by Dr. Keith Meister. "We just won't know how bad it is until he's examined," said Rangers manager Ron Washington. Lowe has a 3.80 ERA and 42/19 K/BB ratio over 45 innings this season, but his availability for the rest of the regular season and the postseason is very much in doubt right now.
