Stroman (finger) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
If the workout goes smoothly, Stroman should be locked in for his next scheduled turn in the Cubs' rotation this weekend versus the Guardians. He had a blister open up on his right index finger Sunday in London against the rival Cardinals.

The Cubs expect Stroman (finger) to make his next start this weekend, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being pulled from his start Sunday due to a blister on his right index finger, Stroman appears to be in line to make his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Saturday against Cleveland. It hasn't been confirmed just yet, but the Cubs will know for sure whether Stroman is good to go within the next couple of days.

Stroman was removed from Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a blister on his right index finger, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander surrendered six runs (three earned) on nine hits over 3.1 frames before being pulled from Sunday's start in London. Stroman exited before the blister ruptured, which could give him a chance to avoid a trip to the injured list and make his next start.

Stroman was removed from Sunday's start against the Cardinals in London with an apparent hand injury, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old was seen shaking his right hand in discomfort before he exited with an athletic trainer during the fourth inning. Stroman endured one of his worst starts of the season prior to the injury and allowed six runs on nine hits across just 3.1 innings. It remains to be seen if the right-hander will be available for his next turn through the rotation.

Stroman (9-4) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Pirates. He allowed five hits and a walk, while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has been exceptional lately, as that's now seven straight quality starts since he allowed six runs in 2.2 innings against Minnesota on May 14. In the seven appearances since then, the righty has a stellar 1.29 ERA and has earned the win each time out. The only thing Stroman hasn't done at an elite level this year is miss bats, as he now has 83 strikeouts across 98.2 innings. However, that hasn't been a big part of his game at the MLB level, and he should be able to maintain his success despite not overpowering hitters. Stroman will look for his eighth straight quality start and win in his next outing, which is tentatively set for June 28 against the Phillies.

Stroman (8-4) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings against the Pirates. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman extended his win streak and quality start streak to six Thursday, pushing him to a league-leading 13 quality starts. He's been on a tear in that span, sporting a 1.51 ERA and 31:14 K:BB across 41.2 innings, including a complete game shutout against the Rays. He'll look to continue his dominance in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to be a rematch with Pittsburgh at PNC Park.

Stroman (7-4) allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five over 6.2 innings to earn the win Friday over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The four walks were a season high, but it was an otherwise strong performance once again for Stroman. He's on a five-start winning streak, allowing just six runs (five earned) over 35.2 innings in that span. He's now at a 2.42 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP and 73:31 K:BB through 85.2 innings over 14 starts this season. While his walk rate remains high, Stroman's been effective at navigating the free passes, which he'll try to continue doing next week versus the Pirates.

Stroman (6-4) allowed an unearned run on four hits across six innings to earn the win Sunday against the Padres. He walked three and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
After a rough start against Minnesota on May 14, Stroman has been locked in over his last four outings, allowing just three earned runs across 29 innings. That's allowed the righty to lower his season ERA to a sparkling 2.39. Stroman had an ERA of 3.50 or lower each of the last three years, so while he might not be able to keep up this pace, he should remain a strong fantasy contributor the rest of the way. Stroman is tentatively set to start again Friday against the Giants on the road.

Stroman (5-4) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Monday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out eight batters over nine shutout innings.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays entered Monday having scored the most runs in MLB, but that didn't phase Stroman as he tossed the second complete-game shutout of his nine-year big-league career (the other came during his rookie season with Toronto). The right-hander was a Wander Franco single away from a no-hitter, and he racked up 20 swinging strikes while tying his season high with eight punchouts. This was undoubtedly the high point of Stroman's campaign thus far, but he's been excellent throughout the season, tallying 10 quality starts and posting a 2.59 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and .188 BAA while leading the National League with 73 innings pitched. His strikeout numbers aren't overpowering, but Stroman is among the early Cy Young contenders in the NL with one-third of the campaign in the rearview mirror.

Stroman (4-4) allowed two runs on four hits across eight innings to pick up the win Wednesday against the Mets. He walked two and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman only needed 88 pitches to complete eight innings, as he pitched efficiently and kept New York hitters off balance all night. The righty struggled two starts ago against the Twins, allowing six runs over 2.2 innings, but he's allowed just three total runs over 14 innings in his two subsequent outings. That's allowed Stroman to lower his season ERA to a strong 2.95. He'll look to keep rolling in his next appearance, which is tentatively set for Monday against the Rays.
