Stroman (7-5) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits over 5.1 innings against the Rays. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman allowed a couple of solo homers but was otherwise efficient during Sunday's outing. He's struggled with both the long ball and bases on balls this year but while Stroman upped his home runs allowed to 17, he didn't allow a free pass for the first time all season after entering the contest with a BB/9 of 4.0. Stroman has particularly struggled since the start of June with only one quality start and a 5.04 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over eight starts spanning 41 innings. He's scheduled to take the hill again next weekend when the Yankees head to Boston to take on their bitter rivals.

Stroman came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Rays, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees staked Stroman to a 2-0 lead through four innings, but the veteran right-hander couldn't hang around long enough to record the win. Instead, he got the hook after 84 pitches (49 strikes), leaving the mound with the bases loaded and needing the New York bullpen to bail him out. Stroman has completed six innings only once in his last seven outings, delivering a shaky 5.30 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 23:18 K:BB through 35.2 innings over that stretch. He'll now get an extended rest, as he isn't scheduled to make another start before the All-Star break.

Stroman (7-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, pitching five innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman struggled to keep the ball in the park Thursday -- of the five hits he allowed, three were long balls, and all five of the runs he yielded came on home runs. The right-hander hadn't been prone to the long ball coming in, as he hadn't given up a homer in three of his prior four stats. Stroman hasn't been pitching particularly well of late, though, as he has a 6.43 ERA across 21 frames covering his past four outings. The five earned runs he allowed against the Reds tied a season-high mark.

Stroman came away with a no-decision in Friday's 16-5 rout of the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on five hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander made his big-league with the Jays in 2014 and had trouble keeping his composure in his return to Toronto, getting the hook after 88 pitches (52 strikes) and not sticking around long enough to benefit from a season-best offensive explosion by the Yankees. Stroman completed six innings only once in five June starts, but on the year he still sports a 3.29 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 70:43 K:BB through 95.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Reds.

Stroman (7-3) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 6.2 innings to earn the win over Atlanta on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was sharp in his first quality start across four outings in June. He gave up a solo home run to Marcell Ozuna in the first inning and a two-run blast to Travis d'Arnaud in the seventh. Stroman has walked multiple batters in five straight starts, which has led to some recent inconsistency. He's at a 3.15 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and 67:40 K:BB through 91.1 innings over 16 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Toronto.

Stroman (6-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
In addition to allowing 11 baserunners, Stroman was also on the mound for six of the Red Sox's franchise-best nine steals in the contest. Stroman has had two bad outings and one good one through three starts in June, though Sunday marked his first loss since May 9. The right-hander has maintained a 3.08 ERA despite a 1.30 WHIP and 61:38 K:BB over 84.2 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus Atlanta in his next outing.

Stroman (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing four hits and three walks with one strikeout across 5.2 scoreless innings against Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing a season-high five runs in his last start, Stroman blanked the Royals on Tuesday. However, he struggled with command, finding the strike zone on just 54 of his 102 pitches while issuing three walks. The 33-year-old has generated five combined strikeouts in his last three starts, a stretch in which he's walked seven batters and hit two more. On the year, Stroman owns a 2.82 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP across 79.2 innings. He's lined up to face the Red Sox at Fenway on Sunday.

Stroman allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was handed a 7-2 lead through four innings but couldn't go deep enough to qualify for the victory. He allowed two doubles and a walk while also hitting a batter in the fifth frame, retiring only two batters before he was pulled. This was a big letdown for Stroman after he notched four consecutive quality starts while posting a 1.01 ERA over his previous 26.2 innings coming into Thursday. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, which tentatively lines up to take place in Kansas City next week.

Stroman (5-2) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over 7.1 innings to earn the win over the Giants on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has pitched into the eighth inning in two of his last four starts, allowing just three runs over 26.2 innings in that span. During his hot stretch, he's posted a 15:7 K:BB, but that's about the only weak spot in his game right now. Stroman is at a 2.73 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 55:29 K:BB over 69.1 innings across 12 starts. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Twins.

Stroman (4-2) picked up the win over the Padres on Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk over six shutout innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman actually allowed the leadoff man to reach in three of his first four innings of work but was able to pitch his way around it on each occasion to prevent any damage. The right-hander has now hurled three quality starts in a row and hasn't allowed more than three hits in four of his last five outings. Stroman carries a 1.78 ERA in May after Saturday's win and has won three of his last four decisions (spanning seven starts).
