Stroman (6-8) took the loss versus Pittsburgh on Friday. He allowed two runs on eight hits and hit a batter while striking out three in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander avoided issuing a walk for the second straight start, but the eight hits he allowed matched a season high. Stroman hasn't pitched more than five innings in any of his last five starts dating back to a hip injury June 22. He's given up 14 runs (10 earned) in 19 innings in that span. Overall, the 30-year-old has a 2.78 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 86:25 K:BB through 103.2 innings this year. He lines up to start in Cincinnati next week.

Stroman allowed five runs (three earned) over five innings in a win over the Yankees in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader. He gave up six hits and a walk and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Stroman came in a three-run second inning, including a two-run double by Kyle Higashioka. The 30-year-old righty failed to record a strikeout and now owns a 78:25 K:BB through 93.2 frames. It was just the second time over his last nine starts that he allowed three or more earned runs. Stroman will carry a 2.60 ERA into next week's projected home start against the Pirates.

Stroman was placed on the bereavement list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman will be away from the team in the coming days following his grandmother's death. The right-hander is expected to start Saturday's game against the Yankees, but his move to the bereavement list will make room on the active roster for right-hander Sean Reid-Foley, who was recalled in a corresponding move.

Stroman (personal) is expected to start Saturday's game against the Yankees, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman took the loss against the Phillies on Sunday, but he'll be away from the team in the coming days following his grandmother's death. However, he'll apparently be able to go through his progression between starts and should be back on the mound Saturday. Stroman (6-6) allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in three innings, taking the loss versus Philadelphia on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman left his previous start with hip soreness, and he wasn't able to pitch very deep into Sunday's contest. After the game, Mets managers Luis Rojas revealed that Stroman will be away from the team to due to his grandmother's death, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports. While he hasn't officially been placed on the bereavement list, such a move could come in the next couple of days. Stroman is still expected to make his next scheduled start versus the Yankees, which tentatively lines up for Friday. The right-hander has a 2.44 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 78:24 K:BB across 88.2 innings.

Stroman (hip) could start Sunday's game against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has been dealing with left hip soreness since Tuesday, but he had an MRI that came back clean Wednesday and could start on normal rest Sunday. The right-hander will throw Saturday before the team determines his status for Sunday's series finale. If Stroman doesn't start, Jerad Eickhoff would likely take the mound.

EDGE Analysis
Stroman left his previous start against Atlanta with left hip soreness, but his MRI came back clean. Both he and the Mets have expressed optimism about his ability to avoid missing any time, though that's still not quite officially confirmed.

The Mets have no immediate plans to place Stroman (hip) on the injured list, and the right-hander is optimistic he'll be able to make his next start, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Luis Rojas said the Mets will still evaluate Stroman day by day, even though the 30-year-old received good news earlier Wednesday, when the MRI on his sore left hip returned clean. At the very least, the Mets plan to give five days of rest between starts, as the team is tentatively planning to have Jerad Eickhoff take the hill Sunday against the Phillies, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Stroman is presumably hoping to take the hill June 28 in Washington, but if he can't gain clearance to start that game, a trip to the IL would grow more likely.
