The Twins optioned Raya to minor-league camp Sunday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raya had been slowed early in spring training after suffering a quadricep strain, but he was cleared to make his Grapefruit League debut Saturday against the Red Sox. The 22-year-old right-hander was exceptionally wild in that outing, however, as he failed to record an out and was charged with five earned runs after hitting three batters and walking two others. He's expected to open the season in the rotation at Triple-A St. Paul.

Raya (left quadriceps) made his first appearance in a spring training game Saturday but gave up five runs on two walks and hit three batters without recording an out.
EDGE Analysis
Raya strained his left quadriceps early in camp and his first spring appearance was pushed back. It was an inauspicious debut but his struggles didn't sound like it was due to any injury setback.

Raya suffered a mild left quad strain Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins will look to get Raya throwing off a mound again Tuesday, and if all goes well, he'll face live hitters shortly thereafter. The 22-year-old righty is expected to report to Triple-A St. Paul to begin the regular season.

Raya (shoulder) gave up two runs on a hit and three walks over 2.2 innings Friday with four strikeouts for High-A Cedar Rapids. He reached 97 mph with his fastball, TwinsDaily.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was Raya's first outing of the season as he began the season on the injured list after experiencing shoulder tightness during spring training. Raya made a strong impression last season at Low-A Fort Myers with a 3.05 ERA and 10.5 K/9. He'll need to show he can stay healthy at High-A.

Raya left his outing early on Saturday as a precaution due to shoulder tightness, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maya made a strong impression last season at Low-A Fort Myers with a 3.05 ERA and 10.5 K/9. His fastball sits in the mid-to-high 90s and he has a quality curveball, slider and change as well, so the stuff is there for the 20-year-old to grow into a big-league starter. Durability will be the big question for Raya, so it's worrisome he's facing issues in camp, even though this could be minor.

Raya has a 3.5 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 69:22 K:BB through 61 innings for Single-A Fort Myers this season.
EDGE Analysis
A 2020 fourth-round pick, Raya didn't pitch in 2021 due to a shoulder strain, but he's come back with an impressive pro debut this year. He's missed some time this year as well, as one might surmise from that relatively thin innings total, but Raya has looked good when he's been out there. He's throwing in the mid-to-high 90s and has a quality curveball, slider and change as well, so the stuff is there for Raya to grow into a big-league starter. Durability will be the big question for Raya, but he's shown enough upside to make himself into a target for dynasty managers.

Raya is having his wisdom teeth removed, which is why he is on the 7-day injured list at Low-A Fort Myers, Seth Stohs of Twins Daily reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raya is coming off a dominant start Tuesday, when he struck out 10 and allowed one baserunner in six scoreless innings. According to Geoff Pontes of Baseball America, he was sitting 94-95 mph with his fastball into the sixth inning while commanding an 83-85 mph sweeping slider and also mixing in a 79-81 mph curveball.
