Erceg went 2-for-2 with two home runs -- including a grand slam -- and five RBI in a spring game with the Brewers on Monday.

Erceg is not truly competing for a spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster this spring, but Monday's performance provides a glimpse at what he could provide the big club down the road. Erceg will likely begin the 2017 campaign no higher than the Double-A level -- and likely lower -- but he was a second-round pick last year and will turn 22 in May, so he could be a fast riser.

Erceg was promoted to Low-A Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Erceg was clearly too good for the Pioneer League, slashing .400/.452/.552 with two homers and eight steals in 26 games prior to the promotion. Few players from this year's draft class have impressed early on the way Erceg has, and it's starting to look like the Brewers may have found a steal with the 46th overall pick. Erceg figures to get the bulk of the starts at third base for Wisconsin, with Jake Gatewood getting some action in the outfield and at first base.
