Gilbert (9-5) allowed two runs on nine hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 6.1 innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert picked up his fourth win in his last five outings, and this was his third quality start in that span. The one knock on his performance was allowing a season-high nine hits. He's given up some lofty hit numbers lately -- he's allowed eight or more hits in four of his last nine outings -- but he was able to work around trouble Friday. The right-hander is now at a 3.83 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 121:21 K:BB through 124.2 innings over 21 starts. He's projected for a home start versus the Red Sox next week.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Blue Jays, giving up five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was looking sharp through four innings, but the wheels came off in the fifth, as Gilbert served up homers to Kevin Kiermaier, Brandon Belt and Vladimir Guerrero before exiting in line for his sixth loss. However, he got off the hook with a no-decision when the Mariners had their own offensive outburst in the seventh. Gilbert hadn't been taken deep multiple times since June 11, and in the six starts between those performances he posted a 2.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB through 39.1 innings. He'll look to regain that form in his next outing, which is likely to come next weekend in Arizona.

Gilbert (8-5) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings to earn the win Monday over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert got a little extra time off when the Mariners reordered their rotation after the All-Star break. He was able to pick up his fourth win in his last five outings, but it was a bit shakier of a performance than usual for the right-hander. He's still allowed just eight runs over his last 34 innings. For the season, Gilbert owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 111:20 K:BB through 113.1 innings over 19 starts. He's lined up for a home start versus the Blue Jays this weekend.

Gilbert isn't projected to make a start this weekend against the Tigers, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Luis Castillo and George Kirby are confirmed for the first two games coming out of the All-Star break, and manager Scott Servais said the team will "likely" go with Bryce Miller (blister) on Sunday. Assuming Miller gets the ball Sunday, Gilbert will be pushed back to make his first start of the second half Monday at home against the Twins, followed by a second home start next weekend against the Blue Jays. Gilbert has posted a 3.05 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB over his last seven starts (44.1 innings).

Gilbert (7-5) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, allowing an earned run on three hits over seven innings. He struck out six and hit a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off his complete-game gem against the Giants on Tuesday, Gilbert managed an impressive encore performance versus a dangerous lineup. The right-hander got 63 of his 94 pitches in for strikes during his efficient performance -- with Jeremy Rakes of MLB.com noting his fastball consistently sat between 95 and 97 mph -- giving Gilbert wins in consecutive decisions for the first time since late May. The 26-year-old appears to be hitting his stride after a couple of hiccups, as he heads into the All-Star break having surrendered two earned runs or less in four of his last five starts and now sits second among all qualified pitchers with an 0.98 WHIP.

Gilbert (6-5) earned the win Tuesday, allowing five hits and striking out seven in a complete game shutout against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert bounced back from an eight-hit, four-run outing against the Nationals in his last start with his best performance of the season. His complete game shutout was the first of his career and marked his first scoreless start of 2023. He was incredibly efficient, handing out no free passes and retiring the final 11 batters consecutively to end the game at 105 pitches. The start knocked Gilbert's ERA down to 3.82 after entering the contest at 4.19 and moved his K:BB to 100:19 through 17 starts (101.1 innings). Gilbert's expected to make his next appearance this weekend in a road matchup with the Astros, who've averaged 7 runs per game over their last six.

Gilbert (5-5) took the loss Wednesday, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings against the Nationals. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert gave up four consecutive hits to open the game, which led to three runs coming across for Washington in the first inning. The right-hander was able to pitch his way out of trouble over the next four innings before again surrendering consecutive hits to open the bottom of the sixth, leading to another run for the Nationals. Gilbert has now allowed at least four runs in three of his last six starts and has failed to record more than five strikeouts in each of his last four. He'll look for better results when Mariners travel to take on the Giants next week in San Francisco.

Gilbert (5-4) earned the win Friday, giving up one run on two hits and one walk over seven innings against the Orioles. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander allowed just two baserunners through six scoreless frames, but Anthony Santander broke through for Baltimore with a solo homer in the seventh. Gilbert has flashed his top-of-the-rotation potential at times this season but hasn't been able to maintain that performance consistently, and he came into Friday having given up five-plus earned runs in two of his previous four starts. He has a 4.07 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 89:17 K:BB through 86.1 innings this year and projects for a favorable matchup versus Washington next week.

Gilbert did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks over 5.1 innings against the White Sox. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Despite walking a season-high three batters, it was still a nice bounce-back effort for Gilbert, who surrendered six earned runs to the Angels last time out. The right-hander started the campaign strong, posting a 3.60 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 69:10 K:BB through his first 10 appearances (60 innings), but he's given up 14 earned runs across his past four starts (19.1 innings) while recording a modest 15:6 K:BB. Gilbert's next start is lined up for a matchup in Baltimore.

Gilbert (4-4) allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over three-plus innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels jumped on Gilbert right out of the gate, starting with Taylor Ward's solo homer. Gilbert went back out for the fourth inning but left without recording another out. He threw just 58 pitches and saw his ERA shoot up to 4.38 through 74 frames. Gilbert has been tagged with 12 earned runs across 14 innings over his last three starts. His next start is lined up to be at home against the White Sox.
