Seager went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Seager is enjoying a six-game hitting streak, during which he's compiled three homers, seven RBI, and five runs. Nelson Cruz is the engine of a Seattle offense that has quietly been one of the league's most productive units in the second half, but Seager has certainly been an integral part of that success as well. Nine of his 21 homers have come since the All-Star break.

Seager went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Friday's win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Though Friday's homer was Seager's second in three nights and he has been able to put together a few multi-hit games in recent weeks, the Mariners' third baseman has hovered below the Mendoza Line for the past month. It'd be easy to label 2015 as a disappointment for Seager as he has seen a steep decrease in RBI and more modest decreases in batting average and on-base percentage. Still, it is worth pointing out that Seager currently ranks in the top 10 third basemen in league in homers, doubles and runs. If you've hitched your train to Seager thus far this season, there's no reason to quit now as there is unlikely to be a major upgrade available in the free agent pool.

Seager went 1-for-5 with his 18th homer -- a solo shot -- in Wednesday's win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
After setting new high-water marks in nearly every offensive category last season, Seager's taken a surprising step back this year, especially considering how much time he's spent hitting in front of the mashing Nelson Cruz. He'd been just 1-for-22 over the first five games of Seattle's current homestand, and the homer was just his third in his last 31 games, a stretch in which his average has dropped 18 points. On the bright side, a somewhat deflated BABIP points to that .254 average rising some over the rest of the season, especially considering that Seager's putting up the best line-drive rate of his four full MLB campaigns.

Seager (illness) is back in Friday's lineup hitting fifth, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports. He was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to food poisoning, but he is apparently feeling better Friday. Make sure he is in all season-long lineups going forward.

Seager (illness) has been scratched from Thursday's lineup due to food poisoning, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. Seager and Robinson Cano (back) are both late scratches heading into Thursday's season finale against the Giants. He likely won't miss much time due to the food poisoning, but Willie Bloomquist will fill in at third base on Thursday.

Seager homered, his 11th, as part of a 2-for-4 game in Monday's win over the Giants. Seager is running a career high in slugging percentage at .475, and at 27-years-old, Seager is exactly at the point in his career where his power should be peaking. He ranks third in the AL in slugging by a third baseman, behind just Josh Donaldson and Manny Machado, and he'll be pushing for a second straight All-Star bid.

Sweager went 2-for-5 with a double, a grand slam, five RBI and two runs Wednesday in Cleveland. He'd seen his power dry up recently, with a 13-game homerless stretch, but Seager tends to find ways to contribute even when he's not hitting balls out of the yard. He isn't the most exciting hitter in the league and playing half his games in Seattle depresses his numbers, but Seager's on pace to roughly replicate -- if not slightly improve upon -- last year's stats.

Seager went 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI in Tuesday's win over Tampa Bay. Seager had a huge night to lead his team to a win in Tampa Bay as he hit home runs number eight and nine on the season to go along with 29 RBI. Seager is now batting .281 and continues to be a solid all around third baseman for the Mariners.

Seager went 1-for-4 Saturday with a solo home run, extending his hitting streak to nine games. He's hitting .364 (12-for-33) over the course of the streak, and Seager's six home runs and 22 RBI on the year put him only a little off last season's power pace. He's also striking out less than ever, with just 18 K's in 151 at-bats, and if Seager's refined approach is starting to pay dividends his overall numbers could rise in a hurry.

Seager was ejected for the first time in his career following the fifth inning of Thursday's game against the Mariners. Seager was replaced at third base by Willie Bloomquist, but it's unlikely a suspension will follow. If it were to occur, Bloomquist would be the likely substitute for the small amount of time he'd miss. However, Seager should continue in an everyday role as the Mariners' third baseman when available.
