Seager (hip) is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Tigers, MyNorthwest.com's Shannon Drayer reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was available as a pinch hitter Tuesday (although he was not used), and that likely remains the case as he sits for the third game in a row. Taylor Motter will start at third base and hit fifth.

Seager (hip) is available from the bench for Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Seager said that his hip pain isn't very serious and that he would be able to play through it. However, the Mariners don't want to take any chances with the hard-hitting third baseman. Seager should be back in the lineup in the near future, but until then, expect Taylor Motter or Mike Freeman to fill in at third base.

Seager (hip) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest with the Tigers, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Seager's hip is reportedly feeling much better than it did on Sunday, but the Mariners will continue to play it safe with their primary third baseman. Consider him day-to-day for now. Taylor Motter will take over at the hot corner for the evening.

Seager was scratched from the Mariners' lineup Sunday against the Athletics due to a sore hip, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners held Seager out of the lineup for rest-related reasons Saturday, but he was still able to pinch hit in the contest, churning out an RBI triple. With Seager's hip bothering him following batting practice Sunday, the Mariners decided it was best to give the 29-year-old some extra time off. Seager will still be available as a pinch hitter Sunday and is expected back in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers, but Mike Freeman will handle duties at the hot corner Sunday afternoon.

Seager is out of the lineup Saturday against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Freeman will take over at third base with Seager drawing the day off. Saturday marks Seager's first off-day of the season after starting each of the Mariners' first 18 games. He's slashing just .233/.351/.300 to start the year, but owners should have some patience given that he is traditionally a slow starter with a career .245/.322/.417 hitter in the first month of the season.

Seager went 2-for-5 with a double, two walks and four RBI against the Marlins on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The hitters behind Seager failed him, as he didn't come around to score despite getting on base four times. This was certainly a strong effort, but Seager's now 16 games into the season and still looking for his first homer, which is a bit concerning from a guy who's hit 20-plus in five straight years, including 30 last season. Of course, he's still managed to drive in 11 runs despite hitting .245 with that lack of power, and his 10:10 BB:K is quite sharp. If you own him, don't panic, but if you can buy low, do it.

Seager went 2-for-3 with a walk in Friday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Seager was hitting .130 through his first seven games before embarking on his current four-game hitting streak, which has vaulted his average up to a much more respectable .250. He's yet to go deep on the season, but appears to be swinging the bat with more confidence in recent games. The veteran third baseman has also rapped out a pair of doubles and driven in five runs, while his seven walks have helped his OBP reach an impressive .370.

Seager went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI during Monday's 6-0 win over Houston.
EDGE Analysis
This was the first multi-hit showing of the season for Seager, and the double was also just his second extra-base hit. Don't fret the slow start, though. Seager has established himself as a rock-solid fantasy asset with three year averages of 82 runs, 27 home runs, 90 RBI and a .271/.340/.468 slash line, so expect him to round into form sooner than later, and Monday was a welcomed step in the right direction.

Seager went 1-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
While his one hit was a mere single, every time Seager reaches safely in April represents a small step to improving on his traditionally sluggish starts to seasons. The veteran third baseman's combined batting average for the opening month of the 2014-16 seasons was just .216, and Tuesday's hit was his first of the season. Seager and his teammates will try to generate some scoring after two miserable offensive showings when they face veteran right-hander Charlie Morton on Wednesday.

Seager, who raised his spring average to .308 with a 2-for-3 effort in Monday's Cactus League loss to the Padres, is hoping to avoid the sluggish start that has been a part of his last three seasons, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. "I'm going to try to get more hits than I did last year," he reiterated. "But other than that, I'm going to pretty much try to be the same. If it happens again, and you keep the big picture in mind, you can get out of it."
EDGE Analysis
The slugging third baseman has hit a combined .216 over the opening month of the 2014-16 seasons, a downturn he's intent on avoiding in 2017. Seager has bounced back to produce solid campaigns in each of those years and has hit at least 20 home runs in all five of his full major league seasons. He's generating some strong momentum as the Mariners prepare to transition to the regular season, as factoring in Monday's production, he's now hit safely in six of his last 13 at-bats.
