Rockies manager Walt Weiss indicated Friday that Kyle Parker has a chance to crack the Opening Day roster with a strong spring.
Weiss alluded to Parker getting work in the outfield and at first base, and noted "It's a right-handed power bat -- not a lot of those running around, I mean legit power." The Rockies first round selection from the 2010 draft, Parker slashed .288/.345/.492 with 23 homers and 74 RBI in 123 games at Double-A Tulsa in 2013.
