The 2018 version of the MLB Trade Deadline was one of the most memorable in recent memories. With players being dealt left and right, multiple teams around the league have changed the identity of their franchise for the present and future.
With so much movement going on, the fantasy baseball landscape has taken a major turn as well. Some players who were in great situations may no longer see opportunities while others may be in line for regular starts. This article will tell you which players[...]
Champ or Chump: Tommy Pham and Brian Dozier rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:00 AM
The Trade Deadline has passed, but the dust is yet to settle for fantasy purposes. The Brewers acquired Jonathan Schoop to apparently share two positions with Travis Shaw and Mike Moustakas. You probably don't want to count on anybody in the timeshare until it's clear how often everyone will play. Jonathan Villar figures to get playing time in Baltimore, making him a potential SB play in fantasy.
Brandon Kintzler, Keone Kela, Brad Ziegler, and Jake Diekman join the ranks of speculative saves [...]
Kevin Gausman To Start Saturday rotoballer.com Wed 8/1/18 6:37 PM
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kevin Gausman, who was acquired from the Orioles on Tuesday, will make his debut with the team on Saturday against the Mets. He was originally schedule to start on Friday, but a rainout on Wednesday pushed everyone back in the rotation. While Gausman has been hit or miss this year with the last-place Orioles, he should fare better with a move to a more pitcher-friendly park on a good team. You should be looking to start him this weekend in a plus matchup.

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kevin Gausman, who was acquired from the Orioles on Tuesday, will join the team in New York on Thursday and is expected to make his debut with the team on Friday against the Mets, according to manager Brian Snitker. The Baltimore Orioles acquired prospects Evan Phillips, Jean Carlos Encarnacion, Brett Cumberland and Bruce Zimmerman in the deal for pitchers Kevin Gausman and Darren O'Day. Of the bunch, Encarnacion is ranked the highest, sitting 14th among the team's top prospects according to MLB Pipeline. Encarnacion has yet to appear above A-ball, but has hit .293 with 13 home runs, 95 RBI and 16 stolen bases in three minor league seasons. It may be a while before he reaches the majors, but with Baltimore [...]
Braves To Acquire Kevin Gausman rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 11:33 AM
The Atlanta Braves have agreed to acquire starting pitcher Kevin Gausman from the Baltimore Orioles. The return package is not yet known. Gausman has pitched to a 5-8 record with a 4.43 ERA and a 104/32 K/BB ratio this season. Gausman's numbers aren't spectacular, but he has shown promise in the past and is just 27 years old. He'll see an uptick in value as the Braves boast a much better offensive lineup than the Orioles.
Orioles In Discussions Regarding Jonathan Schoop, Kevin Gausman rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 11:08 AM
The Baltimore Orioles remain involved in late deadline discussion deals regarding second baseman Jonathan Schoop and possibly starting pitcher Kevin Gausman, according to a source. The deadline is just an hour away, but something could come down on one or both of these players before it's all said and done. Schoop has been on fire of late and would benefit from a move out of Baltimore, as should the inconsistent Gausman.
Pirates Won't Be Adding Kevin Gausman rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 10:40 AM
The Pittsburgh Pirates are out on Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman. Even though the Pirates appear out on Gausman, a handful of other teams are very interested, and he is a prime candidate to be on the move by the deadline Tuesday. The right-hander has been very inconsistent for fantasy owners with his 4.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 7.5 K/9 over 21 starts. The hope is that he can improve with a change of scenery and pitching for a contender.
Multiple Teams 'Serious' About Kevin Gausman rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 10:31 AM
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has interest that is "getting serious" from multiple teams, according to Jon Heyman of Fancred. Among the teams interested are the Rockies, Braves, and Brewers. The Pirates were once interested but are no longer in on Gausman. The Orioles are not going to sell Gausman no matter the cost but many teams are looking to add a starting pitcher which could make the return good enough for the Orioles. Gausman has a 4.43 ERA, 1.38 [...]
