2018 Prospects: Top 30 Impact Rookies for Fantasy Leagues (Week 21) rotoballer.com Wed 8/22/18 2:30 AM
Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season.
It just doesn't seem right. The rain comes in and ends Michael Kopech's start early. He was absolutely electric during his first two innings of work, even if not particularly pitch efficient. The movement on his fastball was insane and the slider l[...]

Kevin Gausman Tosses Another Solid Start rotoballer.com Thu 8/16/18 7:07 AM
Atlanta Braves starter Kevin Gausman delivered a decent performance on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. Gausman went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out two batters. That pushed his record to 7-9 on the season. [...]

Kevin Gausman Goes Eight To Beat Brewers rotoballer.com Fri 8/10/18 7:20 PM
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had a very economical start on Friday, throwing 94 pitches over his eight innings of work. He struck out eight and walked none. It was his best outing in a long time, since early May, back when he was with Baltimore. He'll get another chance to impress his next time out since he'll be facing the Miami Marlins. That should be a good time to start him if you need a spot pitcher.
Ryan Braun Sitting Out on Friday rotoballer.com Fri 8/10/18 2:28 PM
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman/outfielder Ryan Braun (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Eric Thames will draw the start in right field and bat seventh against righty Kevin Gausman. Thames is always a threat to go deep off right-handed pitching and Gausman has struggled throughout most of the season. DFS owners may want to consider Thames on Friday.
Max Fried Exits Game After Being Hit By Line Drive rotoballer.com Tue 8/7/18 9:55 AM
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried was hit on Tuesday by a line drive off the bat of Spencer Kieboom - he got the out to end the inning and walked off. The following is possibly the weirdest sentence in fantasy baseball history: Kevin Gausman, the pitcher who spent his whole career in the American League prior to his recent trade, pinch-hit for Fried to end his day ... and got hit by a pitch. Kolby Allard came on to pitch for Fried. This was likely a precautionary measure by the Braves. S[...]

Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 18) rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:45 AM
The calendar has turned to August and we still have yet to see some of the big-name prospects that were expected to come up this season. Yes, Kyle Tucker, Willie Calhoun, Juan Soto, and Willy Adames have all made their debuts this season but I seriously doubt that we will see any more of the blue-chip rookies come up this season in time to make a fantasy impact.
With that being said, there is a large crop of rookies to choose from at this point, both blue-chip prospects and less heralded pros[...]
Kevin Gausman To The Braves - Fantasy Implications rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:25 AM
With so many big-name players changing teams this trade deadline Kevin Gausman may fly under the radar. On the surface, he doesn't look like much, with a 5-8 record and 4.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 7.55 K/9 in 21 starts with Baltimore this season. However, this move to Atlanta could be exactly what Gausman needs to find success.
Gausman was traded from Baltimore along with currently injured reliever Darren O'Day for four minor leaguers. The minor leaguers are pitchers Evan Phillips and Bruce Zimm[...]
