Former major league catcher Kevin Cash has decided to retire. He'll remain involved in the game, as Cash, 34, has caught on with the Blue Jays as a major league advance scout. The defense-first backstop posted an ugly .183/.248/.278 career batting line over parts of eight seasons for the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Rays, Yankees and Astros.
