The Marlins promoted Misner from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Wednesday. He'll serve as the Blue Wahoos' designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Double-A debut against Mississippi.
EDGE Analysis
Misner received the promotion after slashing .244/.350/.424 with 11 home runs and 23-for-25 success rate on stolen-base attempts. The 23-year-old's toolsy skill set is enticing for fantasy purposes, but he'll likely need to pare down the 29.8 percent strikeout rate he posted at High-A if he's to find consistent success at the plate against higher-level pitching.

Misner will join the Marlins' major-league spring training later this month.
EDGE Analysis
Misner hit a solid .270/.388/.362 in his first 42 games as a professional in 2019 after being selected 35th overall in the draft. The canceled minor-league season last year meant he didn't get the chance to follow that up, however, so he'll likely need some time in the upper minors before pushing for his big-league debut.

The Marlins promoted Misner from their rookie-level Gulf Coast League affiliate to Low-A Clinton on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The No. 35 overall pick in June's first-year player draft, Misner was never expected to stick around in rookie ball for long, given his status as a polished college outfielder. He'll make the jump to the Midwest League after posting a .421 on-base percentage to go with a 3-for-3 success rate on stolen-base attempts during his first eight games in the professional ranks.
