Pinto has signed a minor league contract with the Giants, Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto battled concussion issues throughout the entire 2015 campaign and only caught 40 games at Triple-A Colorado Springs last season, making 31 appearances at first base. His future behind the plate is uncertain. Still just 27, Pinto has hit .277/.346/.451 in parts of four seasons at Triple-A. He had seven homers in 57 games with the Twins in 2014.

Pinto declined his outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday and is now a free agent.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto had some success in the minors, putting together an .879 OPS as a catcher and first baseman for the Sky Sox, but he was never able to translate it to the big leagues. That being said, the 27-year-old could garner some interest given his solid right-handed power.

Pinto was outrighted to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
He was recalled in late September, but will be removed from the 40-man roster in advance of the Brewers protecting players from the Rule 5 Draft. Pinto hit .308/.362/.517 with 11 home runs in 315 plate appearances with Colorado Springs last year, with almost half of his starts coming at first base. He should serve as organizational depth going forward, remaining slightly intriguing as a bat-first option behind the plate.

The Brewers recalled Pinto from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto will provide the Brewers another option behind the plate for the final couple weeks of the regular season. He posted an .879 OPS in 86 games with Colorado Springs this season, but his playing time figures to be limited as the fourth catcher on the depth chart.

Pinto was unable to reach base in his only at-bat for the Brewers in their exhibition game against the Reds on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto is just 4-for-17 through his 17 appearances in the Brewers' spring training so far. The catcher will be hard-pressed to find much playing time in the majors with Jonathan Lucroy and Martin Maldonado eating up most of the starts for Milwaukee.

Pinto cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He has an invite to major league camp for spring training, but it would be surprising if he broke camp with the team, now that he is no longer on the 40-man roster. Pinto went unclaimed due to a concern within the industry that head injuries have eliminated him as a potential long-term catcher. That said, if the Brewers can find a way to keep him behind the plate, he could be an option to join the big league roster if the team is successful in trading Jonathan Lucroy. If he made it to the big leagues his above average power would make him intriguing in NL-only formats.

Pinto was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto was claimed as a free agent back on Dec. 23, but his days on the 40-man roster will prove to be short lived. With both Jonathan Lucroy and Martin Maldonado on the roster, Pinto was unlikely to earn a roster spot out of camp anyway. He'll now get to choose between working his way back up in the Milwaukee farm system, or testing the free agent waters in search of a team looking for depth at catcher.

Pinto was claimed off waivers by the Brewers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He was claimed by the Padres earlier in the offseason, and then they attempted to designate him for assignment, but the Brewers stepped in. The main concern with Pinto, as far as his fantasy value is concerned, is whether or not he will stick at catcher after dealing with concussion issues for much of last season. With that in mind, the Brewers are a prime landing spot, as Jonathan Lucroy is being shopped, and if he is moved the club would need someone to step in and share catching duties with Martin Maldonado. Pinto was a top-100 prospect a couple years ago with the Twins, primarily because his offensive skill set was extremely promising for a catcher. If he can find his way to 300-400 at-bats with the Brewers he would become an interesting endgame target in two-catcher formats.

Pinto was claimed off waivers by the Padres on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Pinto spent the majority of the season with in Triple-A, but struggled to get going there after suffering a concussion, slashing just .228/.304/.354 in 64 games. Due to the concussion, the Twins elected to hold Pinto out from catching duties for the remainder of the season, so it remains to be seen how he'll be used in San Diego.
