Josh Rutledge (quad) flew out as a pinch-hitter in Tuesday's game against the Mets. Rutledge hadn't played since Sunday due to a lingering quad injury. He's still not running at 100 percent, but the pinch-hit appearance is a sign that he's feeling better.

Josh Rutledge was removed from Sunday's game with a left quad injury. This isn't a new injury. Rutledge was pinch-hit for in the fifth inning due to his ongoing quad issue. The Rockies are without Michael Cuddyer (oblique) and Carlos Gonzalez (bereavement list) and may need to make another move. Eric Young Jr. (intercoastal strain) was also removed from the game.

Josh Rutledge is out of the Rockies' starting lineup Wednesday against the Brewers. Rutledge has been dealing with a sore quad recently, so the Rockies likely didn't want to push him with the day game. Jonathan Herrera will start in his place at shortstop.

Josh Rutledge went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Giants. He also struck out twice. Nevertheless, the multi-hit effort was his 12th in 26 games since making his MLB debut on July 13, and sixth away from the thin air of Coors Field. Rutledge's keeper value is still murky, but if you've been riding the wave in your weekly league, you better believe he should remain in your lineup on Monday.

Josh Rutledge went 4-for-5 with a trio of doubles and three RBI in Tuesday's triumph over the Dodgers. Locked into a starting job for the rest of the season following the trade of Marco Scutaro, Rutledge is now hitting .356/.372/.700 with six homers, 18 RBI and three steals through his first 22 big-league games. Rutledge, 23, dominated Double-A ball prior to his promotion to the big leagues and has put on a show since being promoted to the Mile High City. Needless to say, he's worth owning in mixed leagues at the moment. Might as well ride the high of the Rocky Mountains until the youngster comes back to earth.
