Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Rojas earned his day off after he went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win, but he likely would have been on the bench regardless with the Nationals bringing southpaw Patrick Corbin to the hill. Emmanuel Rivera will start at third base and bat second while the lefty-hitting Rojas takes a seat.

Rojas went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Rojas scored a run after a bunt single, knocked in a run on sacrifice fly and gave the Diamondbacks a cushion with a two-run single in the seventh inning. He'd gone through a rough patch, batting .114 over 12 games, but he's now hit safely in three straight (5-for-11). Arizona manager Torey Lovullo noted a change in Rojas' aggressiveness at the plate that began Sunday, per Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic. "He's just a great, heady player," Lovullo said. "Part of his game is to just be a thorn in the side of the opposition and that charges him up. He ended up doing it again today." Over the last two games, Rojas has bunt singles in each while reaching base five times over eight plate appearances.

Rojas started at third base and went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty-batting Rojas, who was given Friday off against a right-hander, was back in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta's Spencer Strider. Friday's off day notwithstanding, Rojas remains a regular presence against righties, but his overall production has dropped significantly since mid-April. He's hitting .165 (15-for-91) with a .481 OPS over the last 30 games. For the season, Rojas is batting .237 against right-handed pitching.

Rojas started at second base and went 0-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and run scored in Monday's 7-5 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Rojas filled in at the keystone for a resting Ketel Marte. He was part of a double steal in the second inning immediately before Pavin Smith's three-run home run gave Arizona a lead it would not relinquish. The steal was the sixth in 44 games for Rojas, who had 23 thefts over 125 games in 2022. He's recently been moved out of the leadoff spot to sixth in the order, where he's 2-for-12. Rojas had a hot three-week stretch to open the season but is slashing .175/.261/.250 over the last 27 games.
