Hader threw 1.2 scoreless innings in the Brewers' loss to the Phillies on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Hader did not record a strikeout Sunday, but he allowed just one hit and did not give up a run for the 10th time in 12 big-league appearances. Hader has 11 walks in 16.2 innings, but he did not walk a batter for the third consecutive outing Sunday, and by also giving up only seven hits with the Brewers, he now owns a 1.08 WHIP -- exactly the same mark as his 1.08 ERA. Expect him to continue working out of the bullpen for the Brewers.

Hader allowed one run over three innings and recorded seven strikeouts to earn his first career win Friday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old relieved starting pitcher Junior Guerra in the fourth inning following a rain delay and produced his longest outing in the majors. The left-hander gave up his first run of the season on an Aaron Judge solo home run, but it was the only hit allowed. Hader now has a 0.73 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 12.1 innings with 13 strikeouts since being recalled in early June, but he has shown some struggles with command and has issued 10 walks.

Hader tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Thursday's victory over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Hader walked two batters in his outing and did not strike out any, but he also did not allow any hits or runs. He was the first reliever in after Zach Davies exited following five frames, and he will likely continue to pitch in the middle innings for now. However, since Hader worked solely as a starter with Triple-A Colorado Springs, he should be able to pitch more than one inning when needed like he did Thursday.

General manager David Stearns said that Hader will pitch out of the bullpen for the time being, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stearns added that the long-term plan is still to use the left-hander as a starter, but they want him to work in relief as he acclimates himself to the big leagues. With that in mind, the Brewers do have a doubleheader with the Cardinals coming up on Tuesday, so there is an opportunity for him to pick up a start, although it's somewhat of a long shot given this development. It seems like his short-term value will be dependent on his ability to strike major-league batters out and limit his walks more than anything else.

Hader was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Hader has struggled this season at the Triple-A level, but he remains the Brewers' top pitching prospect, and the club decided it was time for him to show what he can do at the top level. Hader worked exclusively as a starter the last two seasons, but it remains to be seen if he will work in that role for the Brewers, or open in the bullpen.

Hader, 23, has a 4.54 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 32:22 K:BB in 35.2 innings with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
EDGE Analysis
His 6.68 FIP probably does a better job of illustrating just how much of a struggle Hader's first seven starts of the season have been. Pitching the Pacific Coast League is no easy task, and Hader actually has a better ERA in three home starts (3.38) than he does in four road starts (5.49), which goes against the narrative that the home park at Colorado Springs is the only reason for his poor performance. Of the notable Brewers pitching prospects in the upper levels, Brandon Woodruff (1.83 ERA at Triple-A) and Jorge Lopez (3.34 ERA at Double-A) will also warrant consideration when the team looks to inject new blood into the big-league rotation.

Hader has a 3.38 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 6:7 K:BB through eight innings (two starts) for Triple-A Colorado Springs.
EDGE Analysis
He has done a solid job at preventing runs, but he has almost as many walks as innings pitched and failed to strike out a batter over three innings in his second start of the year. The Brewers don't have an opening in the big-league rotation, and Hader isn't forcing the issue, so he is not on the cusp of a call-up.

Hader was optioned to minor-league camp Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Hader appeared in three games for the Brewers this spring and, despite allowing eight batters to reach base across his 4.2 innings, gave up just one earned run over that span. His season will begin with Triple-A Colorado Springs, but he is the Brewers' top starting pitching prospect and is a good bet to make his big-league debut at some point in 2017.

Hader was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster Friday.
EDGE Analysis
An absolutely dominant 11-start run with Double-A Biloxi to begin 2016 (0.95 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 11.5 K/9) earned Hader a promotion to Triple-A Colorado Springs in June. The results at Colorado Springs weren't great, but he maintained an excellent K-rate and it's important to remember that the conditions there are extremely hitter-friendly. Hader is widely considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball and there's a chance he could join the Brewers' rotation during the first half of 2017.

Hader will not be recalled to start Friday's game against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
There was some speculation that Hader would be the minor league starter to get the call for Friday's start, as he is the Brewers' top pitching prospect and also lined up to make that start. However, Brent Suter will get the call from Triple-A Colorado Springs instead. Considering he was bypassed this time around and is not on the 40-man roster, Hader may not make his big league debut until 2017.
