General manager David Stearns said that Hader will pitch out of the bullpen for the time being, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Stearns added that the long-term plan is still to use the left-hander as a starter, but they want him to work in relief as he acclimates himself to the big leagues. With that in mind, the Brewers do have a doubleheader with the Cardinals coming up on Tuesday, so there is an opportunity for him to pick up a start, although it's somewhat of a long shot given this development. It seems like his short-term value will be dependent on his ability to strike major-league batters out and limit his walks more than anything else.
