Hader recorded just one out while earning the save against the Royals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Milwaukee had a 5-1 lead heading into the ninth, so Hader wasn't expected to get the call. However, after a two-out, two-run homer by Salvador Perez, the 26-year-old lefty came in and shut the game down with just two pitches. He now has 10 saves and a 4.50 ERA this season.

Hader pitched the final frame of Friday's 9-5 victory over the Royals. He served up a home run to lead off the inning but struck out the next three batters he faced.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers held a five-run lead when Hader entered, but because the club needed a win and Hader had not pitched since Monday, manager Craig Counsell still elected to use him in a non-save situation. Hader ultimately sealed the deal, but he also allowed a run for the fourth time in eight outings, and as a result now owns a 4.60 ERA after sitting with a zero in that department as recently as Aug. 28. Setup man Devin Williams has been more effective of late, but given Hader's track record and the fact Williams has never recorded a save at the big-league level, don't expect the bullpen hierarchy to change.

Hader gave up four runs on four hits and zero walks while striking out one Saturday against the Cubs. He recorded his second loss and second blown save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Hader entered the game in the top of the ninth inning with the Brewers up 2-0 and eventually served up a three-run home run to Jason Heyward. Ildemaro Vargas took him yard after that to give the Cubs an insurance run. Hader has provided the strikeouts (21 in 13.2 innings) and the saves (nine), but his ratios, particularly his 4.61 ERA, are a good example of the pitfalls of paying up for a top reliever in a 60-game season. Hader has been particularly bad lately; he had not allowed a run this season prior to Aug. 29 but has given up runs in three of his six appearances since then.

Hader (1-1) struck out two in a scoreless inning to pick up the win in Friday's 1-0 victory over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Hader has only thrown 12.2 innings for Milwaukee thus far but has cruised to a 2.17 ERA and 0.95 WHIP while allowing a total of just two hits. Although walks have been more of an issue in 2020 (7.11 BB/9), they haven't been too much of a problem in another dominant season for Hader.

Hader (0-1) allowed one earned run on two hits to take the loss Saturday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Hader came into the game in the bottom of the ninth inning looking to keep the game knotted at two. However, he allowed a leadoff double, followed by a wild pitch and single to allow the winning run to cross the plate. The pair of hits were the first allowed by Hader this season, though he has surrendered 10 free passes across 11.2 innings. Overall, he has a 2.31 ERA with 18 punchouts and remains the clear closer in Milwaukee.

Hader hit a batter and struck out one in one inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Hader plunked Jorge Bonifacio to start the ninth inning, but retired the next three batters on nine pitches to get the save. Hader hasn't allowed a hit in 12 appearances, an MLB record to start a season, but he has issued 10 walks in 11.2 innings. The 26-year-old has nine saves, 18 strikeouts and a 1.54 ERA this season.

Hader pitched a perfect ninth inning, striking out all three batters he faced to earn the save in Monday's 6-5 win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Hader needed 18 pitches, but he was able to fan Cole Tucker, Erik Gonzalez and Adam Frazier to protect a one-run lead. The 26-year-old Hader is up to eight saves in this year. It was a solid bounce-back effort after his blown save against the Pirates on Saturday. The closer has a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 17 strikeouts through 10.2 innings this year.

Hader was tagged with a blown save against Pittsburgh on Saturday. He pitched one-third of an inning and did not give up any hits, but he allowed two runs on five walks while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Even elite performers struggle sometimes, and that was certainly the case with Hader on Saturday as he simply could not locate his fastball in the strike zone. The fireballer threw only nine of his 32 pitches for strikes and walked in two batters before he was mercifully lifted after retiring only one hitter. Fortunately for Hader and the Brewers, Devin Williams came in and kept Pittsburgh from tacking on additional runs, and Eric Sogard hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth. Hader's job is about as secure as they come given that this was his first blown save of the season. In fact, he had not allowed any earned runs prior to Saturday, and he has still not allowed a base hit in 2020.

Hader threw a perfect ninth inning against the Reds on Tuesday to earn his seventh save of the season. He did not record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty is a perfect 7-for-7 in save chances and still has not allowed a run or a hit through nine appearances this season (9.1 innings). With the condensed schedule this year, Hader is being used as more of a traditional, one-inning closer. That means he'll likely finish with fewer frames than expected, but it's hard to argue with his usage given the results so far.

Hader picked up the save in Monday's 4-2 win over the Reds, allowing a walk and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
Hader immediately brought the tying run to the plate by walking Joey Votto to start the ninth, but was able to retire the next three batters to end the game. Although the southpaw has allowed five walks, he has still yet to allow a hit or run in 8.1 innings pitched on the season.
