Hader (illness) was activated off the COVID-19 injured list as expected Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hader tested positive for the virus back in early August, but he was able to keep throwing while on the injured list, per Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin. That suggests he should be at full strength right away and should immediately return to his normal closer role. Devin Williams will return to his usual setup role.

Hader (illness) cleared the COVID-19 intake protocols Wednesday and is expected to be activated from the injured list Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hader landed on the shelf Aug. 2 after testing positive for the virus, and he'll rejoin the active roster after being sidelined for the 10-day minimum. Devin Williams has been filling in as Milwaukee's closer, and he should return to the setup role once Hader is officially activated.

Hader was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Hader tested positive for the virus, so he'll be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. Depending how long he's out, Hader could require a rehab assignment before retaking the field for the Brewers. Devin Williams is the most likely candidate to receive save chances in the meantime.

Since earning his last save on July 8, Hader has been tagged with five runs across just 3.2 innings. He bounced back Sunday, needing just 11 pitches to secure the win over Atlanta. The 27-year-old southpaw is now 22-for-23 in save chances with a 1.83 ERA on the year.

Hader (3-2) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk Sunday, taking a loss against the Reds. He struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
Hader found himself in a bases-loaded jam with two outs in the ninth inning and coughed up a two-run single to Nick Castellanos. After allowing one run in his previous 19 outings, the 27-year-old lefty gave up three runs in two weekend appearances against Cincinnati and was charged with the loss in both. Still, he owns a strong 63:13 K:BB and 1.49 ERA this season.

Hader (3-1) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Reds after allowing one run on one hit across one inning, fanning two.
EDGE Analysis
Hader pitched the ninth inning in a 3-3 tie, but he gave up the game-winning run on a solo shot from Eugenio Suarez with no outs. Even though the flame-throwing righty settled down afterward, the damage was already done and, as a result, he was tagged with his first loss of the season. This shouldn't have any sort of impact on Hader's role or workload moving forward, though, and he's expected to remain the Brewers' main late-inning arm in the future. He owns an excellent 1.01 ERA and a 0.73 WHIP across 35.2 innings this season, and both figures would be career-best marks if he's able to sustain them during the second half of the campaign.

Hader struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 5-3 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty took his first blown save of the year in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Mets. Manager Craig Counsell showed no hesitation to turn back to Hader on Thursday, and the 27-year-old was back to his usual dominant self. He's now 21-for-22 in save chances with a 0.78 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 59:12 K:BB across 34.2 innings.

Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out two in one inning in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Mets. He was charged with a blown save.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw gave up a game-tying solo shot to Jose Peraza in the bottom of the seventh inning. This was Hader's first blown save of the year -- he had converted his previous 20 chances with little trouble. The hiccup Wednesday ticked his ERA up to a still-superb 0.80 with a 0.74 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB across 33.2 innings.

Hader gave up a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 20th save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It was another dominant appearance for the southpaw, who hasn't given up a run since May 16 and has fanned multiple batters in seven of his last 11 games. Hader has yet to blow a save chance this season, which is not surprising given his stellar 0.55 ERA and 0.73 WHIP.
